Madsen did, however, reveals details about his role in 'Die Another Day'. You can read about those details in this news article.

Thanks to Clint for the tip-off!

  2. Bond 20 Demo Track Reveals Title And Plot

    By daniel on 2002-03-03

CBn Partner Site MI6.Co.Uk have uncovered a demonstration track that was submitted by the band 'Red Flag' to Eon Production for consideration as the Bond 20 title track. Unsurprisingly the track is titled "Beyond The Ice", the long rumoured title of Bond 20. A lot of Bond fans believe that Beyond The Ice as a title was a complete press fabrication as the title was denied by Eon Productions, however, Eon Productions also denied that The World Is Not Enough was the title of Bond 19 until they finally revealed it in a press release.

The track Beyond The Ice can be found on Red Flag's latest album release "Fear Series", which will be released on March 5. It's also available on the single "Fear Level 2" which can be purchased from the official site.

    The lyrics to the song do give an indication of elements of Bond 20, some which have only recently been revealed to fans. So it seems quite possible that Red Flag had access to some inside information. As a result some people may consider the lyrics a 'spoiler', so you'll have to highlight them to read them. Also included is some speculation about Bond 20;

    Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read)

    Beyond the Ice

Word of warning, some free advice
She’s a femme fatale and she’s colder than ice
Her temper’s wicked, her legs are oh so long
She’ll take you then forsake you
Take your life for a song

You’re willing to pay the price
Most live once you only live twice
Licensed to thrill, still your only vice
Involves killing, so roll the dice
Beyond the ice, beyond the ice

The world is warming, it’s a dangerous place
With dangerous people at dangerous pace
The fight this time is coming from the inside
The whole worlds fate you decide
Beyond the ice, beyond the ice

You’re willing to pay the price
Most live once you only live twice
Licensed to thrill, still your only vice
Involves killing, so roll the dice
Beyond the ice, beyond the ice

Great lyrics there, very Bond related!

Who is the femme fatale that the song is referring to? The most likely person would be Halle Berry’s character Jinx I’d say. After all, her character was originally villainous but was changed in subsequent re-writes, so we’re told anyway.

Is the world is warming a direct reference to what Toby Stephen’s recently revealed; that his character has an ‘interest’ in the environment.

While Red Flag's version of 'Beyond The Ice' will never be used as the Bond 20 title track, it will surely go down in Bond history as a major piece of trivia for the fans. So don't forget to visit MI6.Co.Uk to get the full details and your hands on this excellent track!

And you can discuss it in this thread of the Bond 20 Forums.

  3. Audio Interview With Director And Villain…

    By David Winter on 2002-03-03

The BBC have posted an audio report on Bond 20's filming in Cornwall, which reveals the following:

Toby Stephens and many of Bond 20's stunt doubles have spent the weekend, inside the huge Biomes, of the Eden Project in Cornwall, England, filming scenes for Bond 20. Pierce Brosnan is currently recovering from a knee injury and will return to work on Monday, but is unable to perform many of his own stunts due to high insurance costs. This means that most of Brosnan's stunts will be performed by a double, most likely by his usual look-a-like; Douglas James.

Toby Stephens told the press that he is filming his last day at cornwall (this is the 3rd time in his career that he has filmed in Cornwall), and is then returning to London. He also spoke of how he is going to have a tough-time playing the new "Bond-Baddie", especially, as past Villains, have been portrayed so well. Stephens said that unlike previous Bond villains who simply direct their hench-man to do their dirty work, his character: Gustav Graves, will be doing alot of work for himself.

Producer, Michael G. Wilson, who was unable to make it to Cornwall, told the press that Eon have a selection of sudgested titles for Bond 20, which are now going through a legal process. He told the BBC that he is a pretty-good idea of what the title is going to be, but he cant reveal it until the legal-situation is dealt with.

Also Lee Tamahori, has shed some light on the plot, however its nothing new to CommanderBond.NET, who have already reported that Bond will be betrayed towards the beggining of the film.

The report ended by saying that Bond 20 will be released in the UK on November 19th, this will clear up previous rumours of a release on November 22nd. The audio report can be heard on the BBC's website, where you can also watch views of Cornwall (including the Eden Project) on webcams. If you are interested in watching these, i can only sudgest you head over their quickly before its too late, its still a possibility that filming is still taking place.

  4. Some Details From The The Press Conference

    By daniel on 2002-03-03

A few minor details from the press conference at The Eden Project have just surfaced on Sky News, and thanks to Mr Solo we can bring them to you here first.

Just seen a news item on Sky News regarding the press conference at The Eden Project.

I have some bad news, it looks like the title hasnt been revealed yet.

Just showed clips of the dome which does look very 007.

Apparently the writers of the yet untitled film visited the site and wanted to incorporate its features.

A very small interview with Toby Stephens who has had his hair cut and i think he has lost his moustache.

    Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read)

Toby Stephens revealed that his character has aspirations to be an olympic fencer and is an environmental friendly business man with hidden socialpathic & meglomanic feelings.

Toby Stephens' character does sound very interesting, and we've seen the reaccurance of a past rumour. However, this time it's involved with Gustav Graves rather than Miranda Frost.

Thanks to Mr Solo for letting us know about the news! You can discuss it in this thread of the Bond 20 Forums!

  5. Title Not To Be Revealed Today?

    By daniel on 2002-03-02

Could Bond fans suffer from more disappointment? On January the 11th a press conference went into full swing at Pinewood Studio's. And what did Bond fans learn? Very little, especially if they kept up with Bond news from sites such as CommanderBond.Net. What did every single fan complain about on January the 11th? Well the fact that no title was released.

    And it now seems that Bond fans are in for another disappointment with the possibility that the title won't be revealed today at the press conference at The Eden Project. The official invitation has just come across my desk and here it is;

While details that we'd earlier reported, such as Toby Stephens involvement in the press conference, has proven to be true our speculation that the title may be released isn't indicated anywhere in that media briefing. It seems it was to good to be true.

But I guess we all just have to hope, it's all we really have left. At some stage they do have to reveal a title. A film without a title, even a James Bond film, isn't a very marketable one.

  6. No Filming To Be Seen At Eden Project

    By daniel on 2002-03-01

The BBC has reported that visitors to the Eden Project won't be able to see any parts of Bond 20 being filmed as all the filming will be conducted outside Eden's normal opening hours. The Eden Project has reportedly been inundated with calls from fans wishing to catch a glimpse of the action.

The BBC have also reported that a press conference will be held at The Eden Project tomorrow, they commented fans would also not be able to gain access to the conference. Bond 20 @ CommanderBond.Net first published details of the conference on February 27. If you'd like to discuss the conference please visit this thread of the Bond 20 Forums.

For all those who live in Cornwall tune into 'Coast to Coast' this Sunday on BBC Radio Cornwall for news on James Bond 20.

  7. Official Site Update – Taking The Aston Martin For A Spin

    By David Winter on 2002-02-28

The official James Bond web site has posted up a new piece of video footage; "Taking the Aston Martin for a spin". It's a great car but a pretty boring video.

The very short video clip doesn't really show a lot, but is definetely worth a view here.

  8. Production Materials Arrive At The Eden Project

    By daniel on 2002-02-28

Filming for James Bond 20 at The Eden Project can't be too soon off as production material has begun arriving according to The Unofficial Eden Project Website. It seems that filming may be conducted in the Humid Tropics Biome as this is very close to where the gear is currently 'parked'.

A winch believed to be needed for special effects

    Trucks containing lighting equipment

So what exactly is The Eden Project being used for? Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read) It has been indicated to CommanderBond.Net that The Eden Project’s domes are of particular interest to film crew. Apparently they will be some part of the habitat of Gustav Graves, the films villain, Ice Cave. .

Reportedly, this Saturday another James Bond press conference will be held but this time at the Eden Project rather than Pinewood Studios. Toby Stephens, who plays Gustav Graves in Bond 20, is rumoured to be in attendance of the conference.

  9. Crew Forced To Import Snow To Iceland

    By daniel on 2002-02-28

The title of this article almost sounds like the article belongs in the humour section. However, it's very true. You may remember sometime back CommanderBond.Net reported, thanks to source Brosnan's Hair, that the location of Iceland may be forced to change due to a lack of all things snow. Well it seems the crew have found a way around this and another problem they've had with the snow in Iceland

How you ask? Well importing the snow from Britain of course! Reportedly seven tons of freshly made snow was shipping out to Iceland after the crew discovered the Icelandic snow melted really easily. It seems that making their own snow was the only way to keep Bond filming on schedule.

Thanks to the tipster who sent this news in!

  10. MKBB Speculates Relevance Of Double Cross

    By daniel on 2002-02-28

MKKBB have reported an interesting fact. If you think back to early January you'll remember that a focus group in the United States was asked about several James Bond titles, one of them was Double Cross.

Well the MKKBB have noted that Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) have registered http://www.doublecrossmovie.com as a domain name. You can view the full details of the registration here.

So will this be the Bond 20 title? Thankfully it seems not. The domain was registered last December, which possibly indicates that should the producers intend to use 'Double Cross' as the Bond 20 title then they would have announced it as the January 11 press conference.

If you'd like to discuss the 'Double Cross' speculation please visit this thread of the Bond 20 Forums.

Thanks to David P for letting us know!
