    Quantum of Solace

    1. To start with, go down the two flights of stairs and turn right. Follow this corridor to another set of stairs. As you descend these stairs, make another right. You will see Mitchell slamming a gate in front of you. Press the X button twice to bust through the gate. You will find yourself in a big open section next. Be warned, there are hostiles in this area. My recommendation is to ignore the first two hostiles and concentrate on the one blocking your way. You can also eliminate all three of them, but you have to be quick about it or Mitchell will get away. Once you have cleared the area, smash to the wooden gate blocking your way. Run to the end of this corridor and make a left. You will see Mitchell on the other end of the corridor, running through an opening. Be warned, he will slam the gate in that section. Turn right at the opening and drop down. You will see a low barricade in front of you. Vault over the barricade using the Triangle button, and continue on. At the end of this section, you will see a wooden barricade to your left. Press the X button to bust through it. Continue on down this path, taking a left at the end. You will notice a low wall at the far end. Vault over this wall, and turn right. There is a blocked door in front of you. Bust through it using the X button. Once you have regained control, continue on this path. Turning right at the end of it. If you roll fast enough, you can avoid the falling debris in front of you and continue on, if not run forward an vault over it. Run forward and climb the ladder to complete the underground section.

    2. Now, this next part can be a bit of a headache. You are aboveground now. Follow Mitchell and he will lead you to a big area with a fountain in the middle of it. There are hostiles in this area, including one carrying a Hutchinson A4. Using the fountain as cover, eliminate the hostiles. Now, this next part is very important. I have seen this happen to many people (myself included) when you go into the opening on the other, at the end, to the right, there is a door. Now, the door is a checkpoint. If it does not show up as a checkpoint, pause it and save from the last checkpoint. You are going to have to restart the level or your system. Now, if it does show up as a checkpoint, go through the door. Mitchell has gotten into a car and is getting away. What you have to do is go into the ultra aim, and shoot both tires. Once you have done this, a cutscene will ensue showing Mitchell getting thrown from the car.

    3. Once you have control of Bond, run up the road. You will be interrupted by a cutscene showing a van running into another car, and three bad guys jumping out. Once you have dispatched of these three, take the stairs to your left. At the top of the steps, to your right, there are various nefarious characters who are looking to end your game. I would recommend using the Hutchinson A4 (shotgun) and using the corners as cover. The machine gun will do it as well, but the shotgun has more power. Once everyone is gone, take the steps to your right. They are in an alcove. Run to the top of them and turn right.

    4. Follow the balcony along, vaulting over things as necessary until you reach a door with two dryers to the right of it. Be warned, there is a gunman in the tower to your left. There is also one ahead and above you, and two more gunmen to the left at ground level. Once they have been dealt with, climb the pipe in front of you. To your left you will see scaffolding. Follow the scaffolding til you drop down a level.

    Quantum of Solace

    5. Tanner can not believe Bond just did that. Neither can I. Once you have shaken the cobwebs out, step out of that door, and use the wall for cover. There are two hostiles lying in wait for you. One of them is carrying a Hutchinson A4. Once you have dealt with these two individuals. Run to the door, and climb up the pipe.

    6. For this next part, I have seen many people post that they have problem with it, so here you go. Okay, once you have control of Bond, start to move to the right, using the wall as cover. You will notice that Mitchell moves right along with you. You are going to have to deal with the hostiles above you as well, so be ready. Now, there are three “traps” that you are going to want to guide Mitchell to. Starting from where you begin at, the first trap that he will be under is a board hanging from a scaffolding. Shoot at it. Once you have done this, move on to the next one, remembering to watch out from above. The next trap as you continue right is a scaffolding with boxes on it. Shoot at it when Mitchell is underneath it. Move along to the final trap, which is a scaffolding with a bunch of pipes. Fire at it to get to the next part.

    7. Okay, on to the part which denies this game its perfection badge. The “button battles.” They are completely randomized, so I can not help you. I will, however, give you this tip, provided by CommanderBond.net Forum member Blonde Bond:

I finally finished the level. My advice to anyone who hasn’t finished the level and the Dimitrios fight; just place the pad on some level and be ready to hit those buttons using both of your hands. I just couldn’t finish the sequence with only my thumb and as my last hope I tried this trick I’ve used in Metal Gear Solid. It gets way easier. Now, this only works when you have to press the buttons continously. The other tip I can give you is don’t give up!

    Mission Complete.

  3. Daniel Craig's A Steady Rain opens today on Broadway

    By Devin Zydel on 2009-09-29

A Steady Rain, the Keith Huff play starring Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman, opens today at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in Manhattan.

The play, which had been in previews for the majority of September, tells of two seasoned cops whose lifelong friendship is severely tested when a seemingly routine domestic disturbance call results in the death of a young boy. When the horrific truth of the situation is revealed, one of the two must take the blame for the fatal mistake.

Tickets are now on sale to the general public for the Broadway production of Keith Huff’s critically acclaimed two-character play A Steady Rain, starring Daniel Craig (Broadway debut) and Hugh Jackman.

Directed by Tony Award nominee John Crowley, A Steady Rain opens at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on 29 Sep 2009, following previews from 10 Sep, for a strictly limited 12 week engagement through to 6 Dec 2009.

A Steady Rain is a new American play that tells the story of two Chicago cops (Denny & Joey), who are lifelong friends and their differing accounts of a few harrowing days that changed their lives forever.

The drama was first produced in 2006 at New York Stage and Film’s Powerhouse Theater. It had its professional world premiere in 2007 at Chicago Dramatists and was remounted in Feb 2008 at Chicago’s Royal George Theatre winning Jefferson Awards for Best New Work and Best Production. That production starred Randy Steinmeyer (Denny) and Peter DeFaria (Joey), and was directed by Russ Tutterow.

It opened in Chicago to critical acclaim “riveting show is an exceptionally rich, gritty and emotional drama.” (Chicago Tribune); “Huff provides fiery, superbly rendered, often deeply poetic speeches, enough mood shifts, enough emotional cataclysms and action-packed storytelling to keep this hallucinatory roller-coaster ride in motion.” (Chicago Sun-Times); “crackerjack two-hander is like a snowball that builds to an avalanche with genuine dramatic power and a sense of true tragedy.” (Variety).

Huff’s recent productions include Pursued by Happiness at Steppenwolf Theater, Gray City at American Repertory Theater, and The Bird and Mr. Banks, which just finished an acclaimed 4-month run at The Road Theater in Los Angeles featuring Sam Anderson (LOST). Huff’s recently completed works include The Detective’s Wife and Tell Us of the Night, which round out a trilogy of Chicago cop plays that began with A Steady Rain.

A Steady Rain is produced on Broadway by Frederick Zollo, Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli, Raymond L. Gaspard, Frank Gero, Cheryl Wiesenfeld, Jeffrey Sine, Michael Rose and Robert Cole.

Set and costume design are by two-time Tony Award winner Scott Pask, with lighting design by two-time Tony Award nominee Hugh Vanstone and original music and sound design by Mark Bennett.

Daniel Craig (Joey). British Actor Daniel Craig’s theatre credits include leading roles in Hurlyburly with the Peter Hall Company at the Old Vic, Angels in America at The National Theatre, and A Number at the Royal Court Theatre. In 2006 Craig became the sixth ‘James Bond’ in Casino Royale, for which he received a BAFTA Award nomination (Best Actor) and the film became the highest grossing in the history of the 007 franchise. 2008 saw Daniel’s second outing as ‘James Bond’ in Quantum of Solace directed by Marc Forster, which became the highest grossing of the 22 films in the Bond franchise in America and Canada. Craig has recently finished making Steven Spielberg’s new film The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn.

Hugh Jackman (Denny). Australian native Hugh Jackman won a 2004 Tony Award for Best Actor in a musical when he made his Broadway debut as the 1970s singer-songwriter ‘Peter Allen’ in The Boy From Oz. Previous theater credits include Carousel at Carnegie Hall, Oklahoma! at the National Theater in London (Olivier Award nomination), Sunset Boulevard (MO Award – Australia’s Tony Award) and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (MO Award nomination).

Jackman made his first major U.S. film appearance as Wolverine in the first installment of the X-Men franchise, a role he reprised in the enormously successful X2 and 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand, and most recently in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. In late 2008, Jackman appeared in 20th Century Fox’s romantic action-adventure epic Australia directed by Baz Luhrmann.

John Crowley (Director). An award-winning theater director in his native Ireland, John Crowley has also served as associate director for London’s Donmar Warehouse. He received a 2005 Tony nomination for his work on The Pillowman. His recent work includes the National Theatre’s original production of The Pillowman, On an Average Day and Macbeth in the West End and The Turn of the Screw for Welsh National Opera. Productions at the Donmar Warehouse include Tales From Hollywood, Juno and the Paycock, The Maids, How I Learned to Drive and Into the Woods. For the National: Fair Ladies at a Game of Poem Cards. For the RSC: Shadows. Crowley won a BAFTA award for Best Director for his film Boy A.

  4. How To Live The James Bond Lifestyle

    By Devin Zydel on 2009-09-29

Live Like James Bond – Even In a Recession

He’s dashing, he’s daring, and he always gets the girl. Get a piece of the action, the glamour, and the excitement of living the James Bond lifestyle with a little help from self-improvement guru Paul Kyriazi, author of How To Live The James Bond Lifestyle.

The Complete James Bond Lifestyle Seminar

The Complete James Bond Lifestyle Seminar

Men admire 007 for his cool, his flash, his women and his adventurous lifestyle — all of which can be duplicated without signing up for Her Majesty’s Royal Service. A former producer of action/adventure films himself and an extra in A View to a Kill, Paul Kyriazi, author of How To Live The James Bond Lifestyle, suggests that men cannot go wrong in any situation in life if they asks themselves this simple question: What would James Bond do?

The James Bond Lifestyle explains that men go to Bond movies and cheer Bond on. They root for him to go on despite the pain and blood. But then they come out of the movie and forget to root for themselves.

With James Bond as a man’s ultimate self-help expert, the challenges of everyday living can be met with a positive attitude and a calm plan for seeing things through.

Paul Kyriazi offers these additional tips for Living The James Bond Lifestyle:

    • The ultimate secret for attracting women is that girls just want to have fun. Men have to direct that fun by surprising women.
    • Carry lots of cash. Bond never has to run to an ATM or rely on credit cards. He can relax because he has the cash.
    • Dress up even at home alone. A Bond woman could drop by.
    • Undertake plenty of missions and give them names.

Kyriazi has been interested in the James Bond Lifestyle ever since he saw Dr. No when he was in high school but it was only about ten years ago, after an intensive study of self-help disciplines and books, that he was able to distill the essence of Bond cool.

Actor David Hedison, who appeared as Felix Leiter in Live and Let Die and License to Kill, gives a 12-minute introduction to the program. He met the author at SPYFEST on the Queen Mary in 2001 and also appears in Kyriazi’s McKnight’s Memory audio-book narrated by Frank Sinatra Jr., with performances by Robert Culp and Nancy Kwan.

The 8-hour audio-book How To Live The James Bond Lifestyle on CD is taken from The Complete James Bond Lifestyle Seminar with 50 extra “pages.” The author reads it with 20 other actors performing dramatizations along with sound effects.

After graduating from the San Francisco State film department, Paul Kyriazi wrote and produced six theatrical feature films, including Death Machines for Crown International Pictures. During this time, he continued his studies in success and human potential, studying in person with such notable teachers as Anthony Novell (The Million Dollar Secret Hidden in Your Mind).

  5. Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman: ringing in the Rain

    By Devin Zydel on 2009-09-28

Quick word of advice: don’t bring your cellphone to Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman’s current Broadway play, A Steady Rain.

During a recent preview performance of the play at Manhattan’s Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, both the James Bond and X-Men stars confronted an audience member when their ringing cellphone disrupted the performance on two separate occasions.

In the first instance, Jackman, remaining in character as a Chicago policeman, turned to the audience and said: ‘You want to get that?’. Despite some cheering from the audience, the phone continues to ring and Jackman added: ‘Come on, just turn it off.’

‘We can wait, just get the phone,’ Craig adds a bit later when the ringing resumes.
