    By daniel on 2000-05-02

Proposed Bond Girl news has today moved away from Sharon Stone to a sexier blonde actress: Gretchen Mol. According to ‘Domain’ the actress has met with Producer Barbara Broccoli about the role:

“Actress Gretchen Mol (The Thirteenth Floor, Rounders) has met with Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, producers of the James Bond Series. It is believed that Mol is being considered for the role of James Bond’s leading lady after proving herself as a leading lady in several of her recent films. Mol wioll appear in Picnic later this year. The 20th James Bond film is expected to be released in 2001.”

As yet it is still early days, however, with news turning away from Sharon Stone to more serious contenders it is likely that Gretchen Mol may appear in the 20th installment of the James Bond Series. Thanks to Susan for the transcript and the tip-off.

  2. Bond's New Lotus?

    By daniel on 2000-04-17

‘Jimbo’ has written in to us with a question in regards to another Bond Site: BOND20.COM has reported that the car in the next Bond movie will be replaced with a Lotus, and more specifically the R340. The damn things in French and I can’t read that, can you help? Of course I can, using my excellent French skills *cough* I can inform you that the article is simply the opinion of the Webmaster of the site, that he would like Bond in a Lotus. Personally, I doubt that Lotus will ever again become a contender to have Bond grace their steering wheels – Daniel Dykes.

  5. Bond Car and Bruce Feirstein

    By daniel on 2000-04-06

There’s a double lot of Bond 20 News today. While the world is sleeping I’m researching. Let’s begin with a gadget in Bond 20. 007’s car is something that all fans are always interested. Since GoldenEye 007 has driven some stunning BMW’s and left the Aston Martin’s behind, however, it looks like he may be returing to the Aston Martin’s! CNN’s Showbiz News has reported that the British Trade Union for Automobile Construction, the the Amalgamated Engineering and Electrical Union, has requested that Bond start driving British car’s once again. To see the full article click here. I must warn you that I see very little happening because of the call. So far EON has been happy with BMW’s performance and benefits, so Aston Martin would have to come up with a brilliant bonus for the 007 Team. I say that we’ll see Bond in a BMW again even though a spokeswoman for Eon Productions says she doesn’t expect a decision on the request until later this year.

In other news Bruce Feirstein has thanked us for acting so quickly on the false rumour that was posted on the 4th of April. He has also revealed a tad of information! He hasn’t had anything to do with Bond since November of 1999. At the moment he is writing a script for another movie. But Bond fans don’t despair, personally I’m sure that Feirstein’s quill will once again reach out to the James Bond world and we’ll be left with another excellent James Bond film!

  6. Bruce Feirstein Speaks With Daniel Dykes

    By daniel on 2000-04-05

As most of you would know yesterday there was a post about an interview with James Bond Scribe Bruce Feirstein. We can now say that that particular rumour was totally false! We have been in touch with certain people and we can say that it was some sort of April Fool’s day joke. However, some good has come of it: Bruce Feirstein himself has e-mailed us a statement about the rumour and we have it here as an exclusive:

“I have no idea who or what Next Hollywood magazine is. Every single word in this “tip” is a total fabrication – or, in less polite terms, bullshit. It’s indicitave of how little you can trust anything you read on the net. I suppose the goal here was to hype something. But why anyone would waste their time, energy, or money reading a magazine that’s obviously making up stories, and then planting them to hype the publication, is beyond me.”

As a chief editor of Blue Haze I must apologise to all our readers and Bruce Feirstein for this post. We were unaware and were relying to heavily on Dark Horizons. We did attempt to locate a web site for ‘Next Hollywood’ but couldn’t manage to do so, and to this moment I still don’t know if ‘Next Hollywood’ even exists. Sorry to all those who were either hurt or misinformed by this rumours. Moreover, a very big thank you to Bruce Feirstein for setting the records straight with Bond 20 @ Blue Haze Movies

  7. Bruce Fierstein's Secret Bond Script For Bond 20 – Includes Big Surprise!

    By daniel on 2000-04-04

Magazine Next Hollywood has apparently talked with James Bond scribe Bruce Fierstein who spilled some details on Bond 20. He has stated that there will be a larger break before the next movie which is scheduled to open in 2002, which easily fits with what Pierce Brosnan has been asking for.

More interesting is his comment that Bond producers are interested in doing a Bond script he completed back in 1993 which was dropped in favor of “Goldeneye”. Why? Read this spoiler warning to find out:

Highlight To Read: “We were afraid that some of the things in the script would cause a big surprise for the audience. It would be too incredible at that time. Now that Pierce have determined his interpretation of James Bond the next step will be reliable in the eyes of the audience”.

The full interview will reportedly be in the April edition.

  8. Goldeneye Debunked Script to be used for Bond 20

    By David Winter on 2000-04-04

Next Hollywood has apparently talked with James Bond scribe Bruce Fierstein who spilled some details on Bond 20. He has stated that there will be a larger break before the next movie which is scheduled to open in 2002 I don’t know how he would know this for sure. He also made comment that the producers are interested in doing a Bond script he completed back in 1993 which was dropped in favor of “Goldeneye”. Why? “We were afraid that some of the things in the script would cause a big surprise for the audience. It would be too incredible at that time. 9. Will Blofeld Return

    By David Winter on 2000-04-03

MGM has scored a legal victory with the James Bond franchise, Kevin McLory’s rival seriser has been shutdown indefinetly by the US District Court. The Court has decided that MGM has the sole right to Ian Fleming’s creation.

While talking about the ruling, MGM provided the following statement, “Today’s ruling closes the book on the dispute surrounding the James Bond films triggered by Sony and Mr. McClory. Sony’s settlement agreement last year and the judge’s decision today to dismiss with prejudice McClory’s claim, reaffirm, once and for all, that MGM and Danjaq are the true home of the James Bond movies.”

Yeah, so that’s great for the profits of MGM but what does it really mean for the fans? Well for one no more remakes of Thunderball. But it also means that characters from Thunderball could easily be used by MGM in future Bond movies. Think of characters such as Earnst Stavro Blofeld returning! Bond 20 could get very interesting.

  10. Pinewood Studios booked for 2001

    By David Winter on 2000-03-22

‘Club James Bond 007’ has written in to us informing us that Pinewood Studios have been booked for January 2001 by the James Bond Filming Team. This was later changed to late 2001 as the movie release schedule changed.
