  1. Exclusive: Teaser Trailer Not Yet Confirmed For Australia

    By daniel on 2002-05-08

I just spoke with a representative of 20th Century Fox Australia about the teaser trailer for Die Another Day. It's still up in the air for Australian fans. As yet the placement of the teaser trailer has not been confirmed for "this region".

While just speculation, my guess would be that the trailer will be attached to Australian prints of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones considering that it will be attached to UK prints.

The news comes after reports exclusive to CommanderBond.Net earlier today that a PG rated, 56 second long teaser trailer for the forthcoming Bond film was being sent to theatres across the United Kingdom for placement in front of the forthcoming Star Wars film.

May 16 cannot come soon enough.

If you'd like to discuss the teaser trailer for Die Another Day please do it in this thread of the Die Another Day Forums.

  2. Details On Scenes Filmed In March?

    By daniel on 2002-05-08

Andrew has written in to let me know about a trivia listing on the IMDb. The trivia comments on a scene filmed at Heathrow Airport that CommanderBond.Net reported on some time ago.

    Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read)

    The IMDb has listed;

Sequences where James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) travels in 1st Class aboard a passenger plane, then holds onto the front wheel of the plane as the landing gear deploys, and finally walks from the aircraft after it has landed, were filmed in March 2001 in British Airways engineering bases at Heathrow Airport, using green screens and a fan.

I'm not sure on the accuracy of the news, and everything submitted to the IMDb is submitted by the general public, so the information could easily be false. However, it could possibly shed light on a scene we knew was filmed.

  3. Explosive Exclusive: DAD Trailer To Air Before Star Wars Episode II

    By daniel on 2002-05-07

Film this one under unconfirmed, however, 'Dave' has just written in with some great news from Bond fans. The teaser trailer for Die Another Day will screen before Star Wars Episode II: Attack of The Clones which will premiere world-wide this May 16.

Dave comes by the news thanks to his association with a major cinema located in the UK and tells us that it will be showing as of the midnight screen of Episode II.

    So what details do we have about the trailer? The trailer has been described as such;

THE DIE ANOTHER DAY TEASER (NSS, 56secs, Cert. PG)

I'm damn excited about this news. Fox are putting the trailer in front of one of this years most anticipated films, and good on them. I hope it plays before the US release of Star Wars too.

  4. Spy Report: New Pinewood Set Revealed

    By daniel on 2002-05-07

Our source Vanquish has just checked in with very small details on a scene from Die Another Day.

A set piece at Pinewood Studios has been labelled with Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read) EXT. Navy Ship.

Where it actually fits into the movie is anyones guess.

  5. Spy Report: What The First Unit Were Up To Last Week

    By daniel on 2002-05-06

For security reasons we couldn't report this news last week, however, thanks to our source 'Little Dog' we can now reveal what the First Unit were doing last week.

Starting on Monday the First Unit were filming scenes at Kent International Airport, which is in Manston in the United Kingdom. While Manston features one of the largest run-ways in the UK, 2752 metres long and 61 metres wide, Location Manager Simon Marsden chose the location for other reasons. In Die Another Day the airport will feature as a location in Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read) North Korea.

Filming at Manston took place at the airport during the night time from Monday to Thursday. We will have more details on what was filmed during this time in a future spy report. However, at this stage I will say that the filming did revolve around an Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read) Antonov aircraft.

The run-way at Kent International Airport

On Friday the first unit returned to Pinewood Studio's to film various scenes throughout the Ice Palace. While they have moved away from the main rooms of the Ice Palace, which we have seen several pictures of to date, the crew were filming scenes within the Biodomes that have been built at Pinewood.

That is all we can reveal for now, but there are plenty more details and I'll be back with them later.

Until then you can discuss this news in this thread of the Die Another Day Forums. See you there!

And finally, a big thanks to 'Little Dog' for passing on these details.

  6. Spy Report: Exclusive Pictures From Korean Base Set

    By daniel on 2002-05-05

Thanks to our source 'Oswald' CommanderBond.Net can exclusively bring you these pictures from Pinewood Studio's. And they're fantastic!

The pictures, which were taken during filming of the pre-title sequence in January, have many hidden objects in them and also some great details. Look closely at the images and you'll spot various cast and crew. I'm yet to spot Pierce Brosnan, however, I've noted others such as Lee Tamahori.

    So here are the images, with some commentry;

This first image shows a helicopter, a hovercraft and several Korean military vehicles. Notice in the background is the entrance to Colonel Moon's base and further behind that is the famous 007 Stage.

To the right of this photo is part of the helicopter also featured in the above image. Aside from the obvious fuel truck also featured are several missiles (you can see the back of them in the bottom right of the photo). Also if you look on the far left there is a pill-box with a radar dish on top, and several Korean soldiers in the pill-box.

An extended view of the above image. You can now see a full view of the missiles, a full tank and several soldiers. The white striped object in the bottom centre of the image is actually a lamp/light used by the crew during filming.

Another view of the entrance and more munitions and tanks. The security camera that can be seen is actually a Pinewood Studio's security camera, and not part of the set, I believe.

A further view of the whole set, this time to the right. In the background on the left is one corner of The 007 Stage. You'll note this image is full of Korean soldiers, vehicles and also several sports cars. Note that the Jaguar XKR is amongst them. Also present is a yellow sports car, a Diablo perhaps? Anyway, this is the sports car that CommanderBond.Net reported was recently used for filming in Norfolk.

A closer view of the cars from a distance.

Easily one of the best photos, this one shows the sports cars up close, several Korean soliders, crew members and some munitions.

That's all of the images for today from 'Oswald'. A big thank you to him for sending them in!

  7. Teaser Poster For Die Another Day Revealed

    By daniel on 2002-05-04

The official James Bond site (www.jamesbond.com) has revealed the Die Another Day teaser poster.

It's a very evocative poster. And it's interesting to note that in February its design was reported on CommanderBond.Net

One interesting thing to note about it is that the gun is actually a Beretta, 9mm I believe, rather than a Walther. Why? I have no idea. Perhaps a reference to the fact that Bond originally used a Beretta.

If you'd like to discuss the poster you can do so in this thread of the Die Another Day Forums.

If anyone has seen poster reprints for sale anywhere, please let me know!

A big thanks to 'FallenIdol2004', Jaap Atema, [dark], Rory and Rich for letting us know!

  8. Spy Report: Details On That Photo And London Filming

    By daniel on 2002-05-02

Recently a photo was published with James Bond in a group of photographers. Well only CommanderBond.Net has the full details thanks to our source 'Bond VS. Bond'.

    Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read)

I can’t reveal full details on the scene, however, I’d like to question parts of the information we’ve been told.

According to the French James Bond Club, who I will state have often proved to be a reputable source, James Bond is hiding himself in a crowd of photographers standing in front of the Buckingham Palace, to identify a pretender in the royal family. However, I’ve heard suggestions that Bond is actually watching a Press Conference. And who is in the Press Conference? None other than Gustav Graves.

And it seems the press conference isn’t actually inside the grounds of Buckingham Palace, however, the palace serves as a background scene.

The press conference has already been filmed at Pinewood Studio’s.

Now we have some exclusive news on the parachute sequence. Contrary to popular belief it won’t be James Bond who touches down in a Union Jack Parachute, but rather Gustav Graves. Graves will be wearing a tuxedo, hence, the misconception that it would be James Bond.

So to recapp the scenes. Graves touches down in a Union Jack parachute, holds a press conference attended by Bond. Now furthermore, in the photo you’ll note that Bond is wearing the same clothes as he does when he visits the MI-6 section in The Underground. Which makes me believe that this scene will follow next, afterall the entrance to The Underground is nearby.

Some great details in there, that clears up a lot of confusion that has been rife in the past few weeks.

There are more details on this scene, but we'll reveal those when the time comes.

Until then you can discuss this news in this thread of the Die Another Day Forums.

  9. New 'Die Another Day' Scene uncovered!

    By David Winter on 2002-05-02

Yet another time CBn is the first to report a new scene which was recently filmed in London.

According to the French James Bond Club, Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read) James Bond is hiding himself in a crowd of photographers standing in front of the Buckingham Palace, to identify a pretender in the royal family.

    Wow, what amazing news!

It's finally the confirmation for the London filming which took place last week, and which was covered by CBn. But Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read) a pretender in the Royal Family, that’s the first thing we hear of. So could it be that the Face Maniputator is used for becoming a Royal?.

To add your own theories to this report, please go to this thread in the Die Another Day Forums!

And thanks to 'Level007' for the tip-off!

  10. Rumour: David Arnold's Homage To John Barry

    By David Winter on 2002-05-01

Forum user Stringfellow has checked in to tell us a rumour he has heard.

Appearently, Die Another Day chief composer David Arnold is going to use the alternate 007 Theme in the next James Bond movie. This is the music that hasn't been heard since the amazing boat chase in Moonraker.

As Stringfellow tells us, Arnold wants to update this music with an electronic sound with glass handbells as background to this music. Anyway, apparently a representative of David Arnold or Eon have worked out an arrangement with Fenton Art Glass Factory in Williamstown, West Virginia, to have these glass handbells produced.

Furtheron we are told that these glass handbells being made to create an icy sound, which means, this music could be part of the Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read) Car Chase in Iceland. Aaccording to one source, Stringfellow tells us, there is a scene where Brosnan jumps into his Aston Martin while being pursued by Zao. He pushes a few buttons and the instrument panel lights up on the dash. The handbells will begin at this point. Very slow at first and then the music takes off when Brosnan hits the gas.

If there are any updates, you will hear it on CommanderBond.Net first!

    However, fan artist Renard created an image last year;

A big 'Thank You' to Renard!
