  1. DAD Teaser Trailer Now Online

    By daniel on 2002-05-15

The teaser trailer for Die Another Dayis now online at Yahoo Movies.

It is apparently an international teaser trailer to be shown world-wide. This is indicated by two things 1) Both the MGM and Fox logos are shown at the beginning of the trailer and 2) the trailer ends with Coming Soon as opposed to Coming November as it would if it were strictly a US Teaser Trailer.

So what does the teaser contain? Not as much footage from Die Another Day as I thought it would. It does, however, contain some amazing effects. The trailer opens as if we were watching the title sequence for Die Another Day. It's quite amazing to watch, and I hope that these are a glimpse at Daniel Kleinmann's credits.

The official James Bond site has updated to include details on the teaser trailer, however, they link straight to Yahoo Movies, who have the exclusive for this trailer.

While this trailer is beautifully done I'm hoping, purely as a fan, that much like the Star Wars films Die Another Day will have several teaser trailers. That would be great advertising!

The release of the Die Another Day teaser trailer were first revealed by CommanderBond.Net eight days ago.

Of course, the trailer does include plenty more little glimpses. One noteably or Rick Yune, however, you'll have to discuss these and find out about them in the related forum thread.

Please discuss the trailer in this thread of the Die Another Day Forums.

November 2002 cannot come soon enough!

  2. More Pictures From What ET Will Be Showing

    By daniel on 2002-05-14

It's time to see some more images from what Entertainment Tonight will be showing in their next episode.

The images, from various scenes of the film, are quite amazing for a Bond fan. It seems that David Tattersall, the Director of Photography, and Director Lee Tamahori are going to bring us one of the best filmed Bond movies if these pictures are anything to go by.

If you'd like to discuss the images (which are below) please visit this thread of the Die Another Day Forums.

Thanks to Mourning Becomes Electra for the images! They're greatly appreciated.

  3. Sexy Images From Love Scene

    By daniel on 2002-05-14

When images of Rosamund Pike first hit the Internet there were mixed comments from fans as to her looks. I think they'll all be put aside today with these images of Miranda Frost, played by Pike, and James Bond in bed together.

    The pictures come from a recent edition of Entertainment Tonight. I hardly need describe the photos and further, make up your own mind;

Thanks to 'Mourning Becomes Electra' for sending that photo in. From the photo I gather that this scene takes place in the Ice Palace, notice the icey wall behind Pierce?.

Frankly it promises to be one hell of a scene.

If you'd like to discuss the pictures or the scene please do so in this thread of the Die Another Day Forums.

  5. Exclusive: What You'll Find In The Teaser Trailer

    By daniel on 2002-05-14

'GoldfingerRand' has just seen the teaser trailer for Die Another Day and has sent in these details of the trailer as an exclusive for CommanderBond.Net readers!

While there are no plot spoilers in the following report some readers may wish to avoid it, simply because they want to see the trailer 'fresh' for themselves. For the rest of us, enjoy!

    Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read)

Well, it starts off with the whole ice theme. It was hard to see from the booth ( not to mention the fact I put the wrong lens in at first, had to switch it quickly and hold it in place, then the whole overwhelming feeling of the moment!), but it starts with what appears to be a field of women frozen in ice.
That’s where I had to change the lens. But a gun appears- it’s made of ice. An explosion starts in the chamber, which looked really cool because it was distorted through the ice, and a bullet comes out and shatters the screen. As the screen shatters, the Aston Martin appears following the path of the bullet. It spins out on the ice its traveling on.

At this point I was so overwhelmed by the images on the screen that it all blurs together now. It had a lot of quick images on the screen. The visual look of each shot was what really stood out to me. It seemed crisper, cleaner, and more vibrant than TWINE, which I thought was a pretty drab-looking movie. There was a shot or two of some major explosions, Halle, Pierce, and I think they showed the parachute. What looked REALLY awesome was the surfing shots- INCREDIBLE!!! And of course there were hovercraft shots that looked great, too.

It definately did its job- teased the hell out of me! I wish it was easy to rewind film, or I would have watched it a few times so I could remember more! I’ll give more details after I watch it again.

So there you have it. Am I excited? Yes! That's all I need to say for now. You can be sure that CommanderBond.Net will be the first with further reports on the teaser trailer.

Until then you can discuss the content of the teaser trailer in this thread of the Die Another Day Forums.

  6. Entertainment Tonight To Show Teaser Trailer First

    By daniel on 2002-05-14

Entertainment Tonight has reported that tomorrow (Tuesday) they shall be showing the Die Another Day teaser trailer. They've regarded it as a preview of Die Another Day, and I'm told that in the past this usually means they'll have parts of the trailer interlaced with their own commentry.

So stay tuned for more from CommanderBond.Net on that!

If you'd like to discuss it please do so in this thread of the Die Another Day Forums.

A big thanks to Jeff, 'RudeRabbit' and Doug for sending in the news to me!

  7. Official Site Updates With Parachute Jump

    By daniel on 2002-05-14

The official James Bond site http://www.jamesbond.com has today updated with details of a parachute jump that will feature in Die Another Day.

The report from the official site confirms details that have been on CommanderBond.Net for sometime now. Seemingly all our details are correct. However, one omission we made was the involvement of Rosamund Pike in the sequence. She's dressed quite smartly, is she perhaps a liason to Toby Stephens' character Gustav Graves?

On an interesting note, the official site has actually mispelled Toby Stephens' surname as "Stephans"! Thanks to 'Dmitri Mishkin' for pointing that out!

Thanks to Paul for letting me know about the update. If you'd like to discuss it please do so in this thread of the Die Another Day Forums. See you there!

  8. Spy Report: New Set Details From Pinewood Studios

    By daniel on 2002-05-13

Vanquish has just written in with details on a set that may be constructed at Pinewood Studios. One set should be nothing new to regular readers of Die Another Day, however, the other is completely new.

    Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read)

If constructed, the main part of the set will be labelled as ‘INT. Clinic’. As we know it, this set would be seen in Die Another Day somewhere in Cuba. It is here that Zao reportedly goes with Bond hot on his trail. While details are sketchy, Zao reportedly undergoes some form of operation.

Which brings us to our next part of the main set…

‘INT. Clinic, Secret Room’. If reports of Zao’s operation are true then it is undoubtedly here that they’ll occur.

Some very interesting news there, and it does shed some light on scenes we've previously heard about.

If you'd like to discuss the news you can do so in this thread of the Die Another Day Forums.

And again a big thanks to Vanquish for sending in the details!

  9. Second Leg Of Spanish Filming Cancelled

    By daniel on 2002-05-12

'Jaime Bond', our source in Spain, has written in today to inform us that the second leg of the Spanish filming for Die Another Day has been cancelled. The news was announced by Kanzaman, the Spanish production team.

The filming was to take place in Bollullos de la Mitación, a provine in Seville (as a matter of interest Seville will be seen as Naboo in the forthcoming Star Wars film) and being on May 13. Unlike previous filming in Spain Bollullos de la Mitación was not going to appear as Cuba but rather as North Korea.

While details are sketchy at best Kanzaman did state that the filming was cancelled due to a cut in the budget, which is seemingly disturbing news. Is it a cut in the budget from the providers MGM or are Eon reassesing how they wish to spend the money? Either way the chances are the scenes will no be filmed somewhere in the United Kingdom.

CommanderBond.Net had first announced the second filming leg in this article dated April 14.

If you'd like to discuss this news you can do so in this thread of the Die Another Day Forums.

Thanks to 'Jaime Bond' for writing in with the details!

  10. The Status Of The Teaser Trailer In The United States

    By daniel on 2002-05-12

'GoldfingerRand' has done a lot of research in to the status of the teaser trailer for Die Another Day in the United States.

To begin with, the teaser trailer does exist in the US. According to Technicolor, who are the US version of the UK's NSS and distribute advertising material to cinemas, the teaser trailer does exist and is currently on backorder. Also on backorder is the Die Another Day teaser poster! So expect that in US theatres soon!

Any theatres in the US that are interested in showing the trailer, you can can order the trailer through Technicolor or contact MGM to ensure that you receive copy of the trailer. If you do that, feel free to e-mail through [email protected] and I'll let people in the US that you'll be showing the trailer.

One such theatre that will be showing it is in the New England. It's called Chunky's, and you can visit their website here.

My advice to US fans is to contact your local cinema well in advance of Thursdays release of Die Another Day to see if they'll be showing the trailer!

If you'd like to discuss the teaser trailer please do so in this thread of the Die Another Day Forums. See you there!
