  1. New Anonymous DAD Poster

    By daniel on 2002-10-25

Strange e-mails seem common place on the Internet today, most of them are usually spam. However, today something different arrived from an unknown artist. It’s a concept poster aimed for the promotion of Die Another Day. By no means is the poster to be considered official, rather it is more likely to be a poster created by a fan for the film.

The only information attached to the e-mail was that this poster is a tribute to “true Bond artist Robert E. McGinnis”.

The poster comes to hand after a CBn User Poll revealed that 86% of those who voted were not happy with the US Die Another Day One Sheet. A new poll has been created allowing visitors to vote between the US One Sheet and this new poster work. So after viewing the poster, please vote.

If you’d like to discuss this artwork please visit this thread of the Die Another Day Forums.

  3. First TV Spot During World Series

    By daniel on 2002-10-25

The official James Bond site has revealed that the first Die Another Day TV Spot will premier this Saturday in the United States during the broadcast of the World Series Game.

There is still no word as to whether the TV Spot will be available online, however, if the official sites coverage of The World Is Not Enough serves as any indication, it is possible that it will.

If you’d like to discuss this news please visit this thread of the Die Another Day Forums. Thanks to ‘chrolicliar’ for the news alert.

  4. New Stills Online

    By Tim Roth on 2002-10-24

German online outlet Chip.de has released a third bunch of stills from Die Another Day. There are some new photos we haven’t seen before and one very interesting picture which could reveal the identity of the traitor. As it is a Spoiler, you’ll have to highlight it to read.

    Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read)

The photo I am talking about is this one, showing Jinx and Miranda Frost inside Graves’ Antanov airplane. We’ve seen a photo where both girls are fighting each other, and finally we now that “Going down together” scene from the Full Trailer. So it might be Miranda Frost is the traitor which is killed by either Bond or Jinx at the end of the movie and both have to bring the plane down. It’s also possible that Bond is fighting Graves while Jinx is fighting Frost.

Please head over to this thread in CBn’s Die Another Day Forums to discuss the topic!

  5. Paul Oakenfold Mix Available on Warner Site

    By Tim Roth on 2002-10-24

Paul Oakenfold’s James Bond Theme Mix which is titled “Bond Vs. Oakenfold” is now available on Warner’s Die Another Day Website. You can listen to the remix by choosing it in the player on the left.

But you’re as well able to watch the Video for the remix, which consists mostly of scenes from the past three teaser trailers, additionally there is some new footage.

Be sure to discuss the remix in this thread in CBn’s Die Another Day Forums! And thanks to Rich Douglas for the tip-off!

  6. International One Sheet Online!

    By Tim Roth on 2002-10-23

The French James Bond Club, who has some good connections to EON Productions exclusively published the Official International One Sheet last night. It can be found by following this link. Then click on “Affiche Meurs Un Autre Jour”.

No big surprise, the poster looks nearly identically with the concept poster the Norwegian official Fox site published some weeks ago. Jinx and Bond in a tux in the middle, it looks like the same photo which was used for the Teaser B Campaign was used again for the International One Sheet.

While the US Poster published last week by LatinoReview only features Bond, Jinx and the credits, the International One features additionally Graves, Zao and Miranda Frost, as well a surf scene, a hovercraft scene and Bond’s Aston Martin and Zao’s green Jaguar, obviously publicity shots we’ve seen months ago.

Anyway personally I’m very happy with that poster, which looks much better than the US One Sheet.

Please head over to CBn’s Die Another Day Forums to discuss the International Poster in this thread! And thanks to forum user ‘level007’ for the alert!

  8. Digital Bonding

    By Tim Roth on 2002-10-21

Some time ago, Die Another Day director Lee Tamahori referred to the movies as “the one with the most CGI ever in it”. The latest issue of UK Magazin “Film Review” scooped more information on the CGI Work in Die Another Day:

In what is expected to be the most controversial aspect, Die Another Day will showcase the first ever CGI stunt with a digital Bond. Up until now the stunts were all physically possible, if heightened in a quasi-fantasy reality. Die Another Day signals the series’ need to match the competition by using the same cutting-edge technological tools.

This means we will see most propably an action scene which wouldn’t have been possible with real actors, just like in recent “Spiderman”.

The magazine furtheron makes a quite interesting read with input from some of the cast and director Lee Tamahori.

Feel free to discuss this topic in this thread of CBn’s Die Another Day Forums! And finally thanks to our very own Rory Couper for the tip-off!

  10. Bond and Frost Sport Cashmere

    By daniel on 2002-10-20

Only a handful of pictures of James Bond in his turtleneck sweater have actually hit the Internet and yet the article of clothing has made quite an impression on fans. So much so, that there is now a market for the item.

The sweater was created specifically for actor Pierce Brosnan by Ballantyne Cashmere. The charcoal grey turtleneck, which features in scenes in Gustav Graves’ Ice Palace, will be available at selected stockists in the United Kingdom and specifically in Ballantyne’s London store on Bond Street.

Ballantyne Cashmere have also provided further clothing for Die Another Day, including a frost grey boucle cashmere polo which will be seen on Miranda Frost, played by British actress Rosamund Pike. The polo is from Ballantyne’s 2002/2003 Autumn Winter Collection.
