    By daniel on 2003-04-15

Details on the ‘Easter Egg’ to be included in the Die Another Day DVD have hit the Internet.

The easter egg will allow Bond fans, particularily the male ones, watch Halle Berry exit the sea in multiple angles.

The scene, which is a homage to Ursula Andress’ exist from the sea in 1962’s Dr No, was filmed in Cadiz in Spain but is set, in the film, in Cuba.

The Easter Egg is on Disc Two of the Die Another Day DVD. To access it one needs to select ‘Image Database’ from the main menu, then select ‘Sets And Locations’. The seventh picture in the series is of Berry exiting the sea, select enter on the remote to be taken to the secret menu. From there you can select one of the three angles, or switch between them during play mode by using the angle button on your DVD’s remote control.

  5. Eon Deny '21 Starts Filming This Year

    By David Winter on 2003-04-05

IanFleming.org have discovered that a contact close to Eon has said that Filming for Bond 21 will not start this year; the film doesn’t have a script yet.

The article also says that Eon always book studios as a precaution in case they need them.

  6. Aishwarya Rai To Appear in Bond 21?

    By Tim Roth on 2003-04-05

According to the "Times of India" and "Jam! Showbiz", Indian actor Aishwarya Rai may be the next Bond girl to star alongside Pierce Brosnan.

"They’re keen to cast her," Rai’s secretary Hari Singh was quoted as saying in the newspaper. He said an international agency has approached Rai, a former Miss World.

This leads to speculation. One is that the script is already finished and Bond is yet to go another time to an Asian country, India for instance. But there are as well some doubts. Why would EON hire an international agency to cast Rai? Bond Castings mostly have taken place in Los Angeles at MGM in the last 10 years. Additionally it could just be a marketing joke of Aishwarya’s private secretary with the aim to get some publicty. We’ll have to wait and see, but Commanderbond.Net will keep you informed!

The menus are based upon the menus of other James Bond DVD releases, right down to the ‘Activate’ opening menu. The graphic basis for the menus appears to be themes from Die Another Day, including Daniel Kleinmann’s title sequence and the Icarus satellite.

Die Another Day can be purchased on DVD from Amazon UK for £16.99 and Amazon US for $19.49. To view all the screenshots from the menus visit DVD Answers.

    New Line Cinema has just announced the films premise;

Brosnan plays a retired thief who, after successfully completing his last heist, sails off into the sunset and towards what he thinks is a life of luxury. Instead, the thief’s old nemesis, a FBI agent, tracks him down to on the island he’s at and begins covertly shadowing his movements.

  10. Bond 21 To Start Filming in Jan '04!

    By Tim Roth on 2003-03-26

Although MGM had originally intended for a release date of late 2005 for Bond 21, CommanderBond.Net has received information that filming will start in January 2004.

According to the German James Bond Club, Bondklub Deutschland, pre-production for Bond 21 is to be held in early summer, this year, at Pinewood Studio’s in Great Britain.

EON Productions have booked several stages in Pinewood from autumn 2003 because of the sets which have to be built. Filming will start in January 2004 and will most likely be wrapped in June or July. A december 2004 release for the film is planned.

A spokesperson for Pinewood Studio’s was unable to comment on the booking, due to confidentiality reasons. Now announcement will be made by the studios until production spaced is moved into, or until another official source, for example Eon Productions, is made.
