  2. Pokemon Theme Lea…Casino Royale Theme Leaked!

    By @mrpauldunphy on 2006-09-21

Chris Cornell and David Arnold’s title theme to Casino Royale -which was posted to US radio stations for circulation this Friday, reportedly- has made its way on to the internet. The track can be found through various means: Major entertainment websites have a portion of it on their sites, and it’s probably now available through various p2p networks by now.

In case you’re interested, the theme -which was greatly anticipated by Bond fans worldwide- has received mixed reaction among our CBn forum members. Some see it as it as a brave step for the franchise: ushering in a new era, others wonder why an American rock artist was picked at the height of his mediocrity to work on a cock-rock song that is meant to relaunch Britain’s greatest universal export, but sounds more fitting for the end credits of a Spiderman film.

Some see it as the spiritual sister to Wings’ 1973 classic Live And Let Die, others believe it’s as aggressive as a wet fart; that it’s an asinine, lyrically-cliched, fetid turd of a song with no remotely memorable hook and no discernible link to the musical world of James Bond. They may as well have gotten Nickelback or Bon-titting-Jovi to do it.

I don’t particularly like it in case you were wondering which side of the fence I lay on.

Construction on new ‘007 Stage’ currently taking place

It was previously announced on the CBn main page that Pinewood Studios was planning to rebuild the famous 007 Stage after it burned down in July of this year.

Yahoo News now reports that Pinewood has been given the ‘OK’ to rebuild the stage. Construction work has already begun and is expected to be completed in early 2007.

The 007 Stage will be same size as it previously was, but ‘modern building techniques and improved internal design have increased the usable area inside the stage from 45,424 square feet to 57,000 square feet.’

While an investigation was reportedly launched as to the cause of the mysterious fire, ‘unknown’ seems to still be the current answer.

  8. Daniel Craig Is The 'Proper Actor' For James Bond, Says Clive Owen

    By Devin Zydel on 2006-09-19

One name that was constantly thrown around in the many months leading up the unveiling of the new James Bond for Casino Royale was Clive Owen.

Today, the BBC News reports that the past rumoured actor for the role has put his support behind Daniel Craig for the 007 role, saying he is the ‘proper actor’ for the job.

‘He is not shallow or posing, they have cast a really serious actor. I think when Craig first took the part he got a pretty rough ride, which to a certain extent is inevitable because there are so many different people who have so many different ideas about something like that… you are never going to please everybody.’

The exciting thing about this entire process, Owen said, was the fact that Craig is the proper actor for the Bond role. ‘He is not shallow or posing, they have cast a really serious actor and I think that when the film comes out everyone will see what a great choice he was.’
