  1. Exclusive: Pictures From Inside The Ice Palace

    By daniel on 2002-04-09

Could CommanderBond.Net get anymore exclusives? Probably. But let's move on.

Today we're back with more exclusive pictures from the sets of Die Another Day! While these pictures weren't taken recently, the majority of Bond fans haven't been given a sneak peak inside the Ice Palace. That was, until today!

In these pictures you'll note that the main room of the Ice Palace is still under construction. We can confirm that construction has already finished and that filming has already taken place on this set. As to whether or not filming has been completed on the set, I can't say.

But you're free to have your say about these pictures in this thread of the Die Another Day Forum! See you there!

Thanks to 'Placebo' for sending those images in to me.

  2. John Cleese enjoyed working on 'DAD'

    By David Winter on 2002-04-08

Jam! Showbiz have published an interview with actor veteran John Cleese, who is going to replace Desmond Llewelyn as 'Q'.

"I am Q now – I actually have a name," says Cleese, 62, of his role in the new Bond flick, Die Another Day, which stars Pierce Brosnan and Halle Berry and will be in theatres in November. "It was terrific fun. I like the new director and I always got on with Pierce. He's a very clever actor. He's fascinating because when you're working with him he seems to be doing nothing at all, but then you see him on-screen and he's fantastic."

Well, that small quote confirms former Spy Reports which said that the 'Q'-Scenes already have been filmed.

  4. Exclusive: Pictures From Filming In Cádiz

    By daniel on 2002-04-07

Thanks to 'Jaime Bond' we're back with these two exclusive pictures of filming of Die Another Day in Cádiz. While the images detail no specific spoilers (unless you put a lot of thought into it) the description of them do, so you'll have to highlight to read.

    Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read)

This first image shows filming taking place in Cádiz. The featured helicopter will reportedly be piloted by Rick Yune’s character ‘Zao’ in Die Another Day. At this stage, understandably, it is piloted by a stunt professional.

I should comment that the image has been digitally edited by myself to improve clarity. Due to poor weather conditions in Cádiz at the moment the picture was originally quite ‘dull’.

This second image shows the Sunseeker Superhawk 48 arriving in Cádiz. It was transported by lorry from the United Kingdom. ‘Rob’ was nice enough to send in this link that gives details on the Sunseeker. A very similair version of the Sunseeker appeared in the last James Bond cinematic adventure, “The World Is Not Enough”. There is no word yet on how the Sunseeker will feature in Die Another Day or why the producers have decided to use a very similair vehicle to one they did in the last feature.

That's all for now, however, we will be back with more images! So a big big thanks to 'Jaime Bond' for sending those in to us!

    Update:

Cádiz newspaper Diario De Cadiz has published this photo of the filming taking place in Cádiz.

Thanks to White Knight for sending that image in!

  5. Exclusive: Pierce Brosnan Arriving At Press Conference

    By daniel on 2002-04-07

Thanks to 'Jaime Bond' we have exclusive pictures of Pierce Brosnan at the press conference which recently took place in Cádiz, Spain.

The second image features actor Emilio Echevarría's who plays a detective in Die Another Day.

We do have plenty more exclusive images coming your way so please keep frequenting CommanderBond.Net so you can get a glimpse of some great images from the filming of Die Another Day in Cádiz.

  6. On-set Footage Now Online

    By daniel on 2002-04-06

Just a quick note to inform everyone that some on-set footage from Die Another Day has appeared online. The footage comes from filming in Cadiz.

It's in Real Player format and can be viewed at http://videos.elmundo.es:8080/ramgen/noticias/2002/04/04/bond.rm

A big thanks to Tony and Dark Horizons for the link!

  7. Halle Berry's Salary For Die Another Day

    By daniel on 2002-04-06

The latest issue of ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY (April 12, 2002), which is out today, has a report on Halle Berry and her win at this years Academy Awards. As a part of the report they've revealed details on Halle's salary for Die Another Day.

Halle Berry's groundbreaking win, however is another story. MONSTER'S BALL saw a 32 percent box office bump in its post-Oscar weekend (the low budget indie has grossed $23 million) and Berry, 33, may be headed for a similar pay raise. Sources say she snagged a career-high $4 million dollars for the upcoming James Bond film DIE ANOTHER DAY. And one studio production head said she could command $6 million to $8 million for the right vehicle.

Thanks to 'Beamer' for the tip-off about the news!

  8. Details Of Stunt Filmed In Cádiz

    By David Winter on 2002-04-06

The online website Diario De Cadiz Digital has reported details on a scene filmed today in Cádiz involving Pierce Brosnan, Rick Yune and Halle Berry. However, the scene does involve spoilers so you'll have to highlight the report to read it.

    Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read)

A scene was recorded yesterday in the Castle of San Sebastián in which Bond (Pierce Brosnan) shoots at a helicopter in which Zao, Colonel Moon’s Henchman (Rick Yune) is piloting. In the action scene, the Helicopter (piloted by specialists) is forced to make a dangerous maneuver.
It is also reported that it was necessary to carry out many controlled explosions to several parts of the scenery that had been constructed in the North part of the outpost of the Castle.
Apparently, Jinx (Halle Berry) with pink and white printed dress, took part in the scenes, hiding before the skirmish of firings and the explosions. The Website has also published a relatively small image of that scene
    .

Also on the matter of Halle Berry, She checked into a hospital in the middle of Cadiz, called ‘The Health Clinic’, as she complained about a pain in her eye. During the half an hour she was in the hospital, she was examined by Dr. Fernandez Repeto, fortunately, it was nothing serious just a little inflammation in the eye. She is to return to shooting today.

To discuss this topic visit thread in the Die Another Day Forums. And thanks to ‘Jaime Bond’ for the heads up, and to Shea Bennett aka "Trevelyan" who set up this report.

  10. Rick Yune Reveals Details On Zao

    By David Winter on 2002-04-06

British newspaper The Mirror was able to speak with Rick Yune about his role of Zao in "Die Another Day". The paper reports, Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read) the Korean actor has to be covered in white body make-up with dazzling blue contact lenses. The 30-year-old has veins painted on his face and diamonds stuck to his head and body. “I’m meant to look as if I have been in an explosion. It’s a brilliant role and I love playing a Bond villain”, Yune said, “the only problem is I’m topless in a lot of scenes in Spain and it’s been raining. I’ve had to have a hot-water bottle on stand-by”.

However, the news should come as now surprise to CommanderBond.Net readers. Through our sources we were the first site to report this news back in January.

Please discuss this topic in this thread! And finally a big "Thank You" to "Mourning Becomes Electra" for the alert.
