  1. What ET Showed From Pinewood Studios

    By daniel on 2002-04-26

I've just seen the ET Footage from the set of Die Another Day at Pinewood Studio's. The first thing I have to mention is the interior set for the Ice Palace and the exterior set for the Ice Palace. Both are absolutely amazing.

The exterior set has been built on the Pinewood Backlot, with the Ice Palace on the 007 Stage. One really can't describe how amazing the set does look, it's beyond words.

There was a brief glimpse of dialogue in the report.

Bond: “Shall we? You’re not Jinx anymore?”

Jinx: “Oh, I’ll always be a Jinx to you.”

The dialogue seemingly hints that, while at the Ice Palace, Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read) Jinx will use cover-name while she’s at the Ice Palace. Also shown was a very small clip of Jinx turning to her left and saying "James". It's hard to describe Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read) but it’s obvious that Jinx and Bond don’t arrive at the Ice Palace together. Jinx seems semi-surprised, semi-“I expected you to be here”.

An interesting note to fans, after delivering her "Jinx to you…" line Berry actually tripped and was caught by Brosnan, who said "I got ya, I got ya". Seems Berry is actually jinxing herself!

Two outfits worn by Jinx were shown, already seen on CommanderBond.Net. However, it was revealed that Jinx's dress at the Ice Palace party was designed by Donatella Versace. Also shown was Jinx's car. A Ford Thunderbird, CommanderBond.Net was the first to reveal she would be driving that car, that is a special edition with a unique body paint.

On to bigger news, the reported confirmed that reports Madonna would not have a cameo appearance in Die Another Day are false. Madonna will appear in the film. Director Lee Tamahori revealed she'd be filming her scenes over two days. The scenes will include Madonna in a specially designed outfit.

Strangely, the footage with Rosamund Pike was missing from the special which was really disappointing.

  2. Empire Online Has Pictures From Korea Set

    By daniel on 2002-04-26

Some brief news: Empire Online has posted pictures from the set of Die Another Day representing Colonel Moon's Korean base.

The photos were all taken after the completion of filming, however, the crew did leave some remanents.

  3. ET Halle Interview And Footage Online

    By Evan Willnow on 2002-04-25

Entertainment Tonight's website has put footage of host Bob Goen's interview with Halle Berry and some behind-the-scenes Die Another Day footage online.

The ET Feature: 'Halle's Bumpy Bond Debut!' includes the interview a transcript of the interview and a clip of Halle and Pierce filming a scene.

At this point it is unknown if this is all of the Die Another Day story that Entertainment Tonight will show on Thursday's show. You can be sure that CommanderBond.Net will have a full report on the story. Until then you can discuss the ET Report in this thread of the CBN's Die Another Day Forums.

  4. ET Shows Another Preview Of Forthcoming Footage

    By daniel on 2002-04-25

Entertainment Tonight has again shown a preview of the footage from Die Another Day they'll be showing on their Thursday program. However, this time the footage varied slightly from what we've already seen.

    This time they've showed footage of Halle Berry and ET host Bob Goen standing outside the biodomes. In this scene Berry was wearing a completely new outfit that we haven't seen before;

    Also new is this clip from the footage;

You may notice this photo shows Bond, Frost and Jinx all talking. It appears that Jinx is now wearing a coat, she'd need one in the Ice Palace!

That's all for now. You can be sure CommanderBond.Net will have the full report on what ET show! Until then you can discuss the ET Report in this thread of the Die Another Day Forums.

A big thanks to 'John007' and 'Mourning Becomes Electra' for sending in the report and the pictures!

This Thursday Entertainment Tonight will have a special segment on Die Another Day. They have already shown a preview of the segment; which now promises footage from inside the Ice Palace.

They've already shown Jinx and Bond in the palace, which is the reception place for a some function which witnesses have described as similair to Carver's reception in Tomorrow Never Dies.

Keep your TV sets tuned! And if you watch the program please send in any details of interest to me through [email protected]

There are plenty of details about the glimpse and the ET segment in this thread of the Die Another Day Forums.

  7. German TV Station RTL buys 'DAD' rights

    By David Winter on 2002-04-23

German TV station RTL, which brought footage from "Die Another Day" to Germany and via their website to the Bond Fan Community worldwide, has bought the German TV rights for "Die Another Day".

A spokeman of RTL said on the international tradeshow MIP TV in Cannes, that the station bought "Die Another Day" together with the first three Bond movies, "Dr. No", "From Russia with Love" and "Goldfinger".

It was not specified what RTL paid for the package, but it's suspected 14 Million €uro (12,5 Million US-$). When "Die Another Day" will air German television was not said.

  8. More information on 'DAD' Action Sequences

    By David Winter on 2002-04-23

German Bond Website all time high has published some exclusive information on the action sequences of "Die Another Day".

An insider of the website confirmed that there will only be Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read)three big action sequences: the Hovercraft Sequence, the Ice Chase and the final battle, which will feature aeroplanes and flying objects. Furtheron the website reveals more information on some minor action scenes: there will be a “sword fencing sequence” and also a “laser fight”.

While there were speculation about the swordfight after the official Production Insider “Yarborough” revealed in December that Rosamund Pike would be going to play a person “who crosses swords with James Bond”, the mentioning of a laser fight is completely new to us. Yet another reference?

Finally we are told that the website’s inside source gained access to the script and revealed that the story and the dialouges will dominate “Die Another Day”, not the action. Quoting the German Website; “there will be less action than in the last two movies, ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’ and ‘The World Is Not Enough'”.

To discuss this topic please visit this thread in the "Die Another Day" Forums!

  9. Is Jinx A Villain Or Not

    By daniel on 2002-04-23

I'd really like to know the definitive answer on Jinx. Is she a villain or not? First, by Halle Berry's admission, she was. Then at the press conference she wasn't. Then she was again a villain. And now she's not.

That's according to the IMDb, who have reported Berry as saying that Jinx isn't a villain but "When you see the movie you'll see. She's a multi-layered character".

  10. Possible Details On Filming In London

    By daniel on 2002-04-23

It seems we may have some more details on the filming that recently took place in Green Park in London. 'Smitty' has posted in the Die Another Day Forums details on the filming that he says were given to him by a friend. We do have to file this news as rumour as 'Smitty' isn't a regular source for CommanderBond.Net. But with that in mind, read on.

    Spoiler Warning (Highlight To Read)

In this recent reported we noted how a British police officer in Green Park had been told that the U.K.’s military parachute team the ‘Red Devils’ would be involved in the filming of part of Die Another Day.

Before this news went to press ‘Smitty’ posted in the forums that one of his friends, who works in the Art Department of various films, told him that the scene involved Bond in Green Park and a “scene with Pierce PARACHUTING IN ON A UNION JACK PARACHUTE”.

What would seem like a simple fan-rumour with any other Bond film does seem plausible with Die Another Day, simply because of the level of homages that will be present in the film.

Have your say on this rumour in this thread of the Die Another Day Forums. See you there!
