  1. Casino Royale Becomes Sony's 4th Highest Grossing Film Internationally

    According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Casino Royale has continued to remain strong at the international box office.

    Playing at 5,300 screens in 61 territories, the 21st official James Bond 007 film took in an estimated $16 million over the weekend. Casino Royale took in $2.8 million in both the UK and Germany, two markets that have been strong for the film. This brought the totals for the film in both markets to $95 million and $43.3 million, respectively.

    With a domestic total of $155 million and a an international total of $338 million, Casino Royale has already become the highest grossing James Bond film and will also be the first to break the $500 million barrier.

    Sony also reports that Casino Royale has become its fourth-biggest hit internationally after The Da Vinci Code and the two Spider-man films. The film has additionally become the 35th-biggest hit all time internationally.
