  1. Casino Royale Sydney Premiere Thrills Fans

    By Devin Zydel on 2006-12-05

As previously reported on CBn, the Sydney premiere of Casino Royale took place on 4 December, with Daniel Craig, Caterina Murino, and director Martin Campbell in attendance. The Age reports that the premiere was a thrill to all the fans at the event.

Daniel Craig commented on his role while meeting the hundreds of cheering fans: ‘I had a chance to totally rediscover him, work him out. He’s a little bit more human, but that’s because he has to fall in love. You see other sides of him.’ When asked if he felt vindicated, Craig said, ‘I don’t think in that way.’

Additionally, Craig wouldn’t dismiss the idea that Bond 22 could indeed be set in Australia. ‘There is always a chance. We could go anywhere, that’s the fabulous thing about Bond. Certainly, if it gets written into the script I would be here.’

If Craig’s comments on Casino Royale weren’t enough, Campbell sealed the deal, praising the film as ‘the best James Bond film ever is what [fans] can expect.’
