Details of the San Diego Comic Convention have been released and it has been announced that on Friday at 3pm a special Die Another Day presentation will be held.
The even has been described as an exclusive look at the new James Bond adventure Die Another Day. As 'Morton Slumber' points out, it's quite likely that this exclusive look will be new footage from Die Another Day. 'Morton Slumber' puts forward the theory that the footage may be the footage that was recently previewed at the Odeon.
CommanderBond.Net will have further details on the 'exclusive look' as news comes to hand. Until then you can discuss this news in this thread of the Die Another Day Forums.
Finally, a big thanks to 'Morton Slumber' for tipping us off about the news!

With Moonraker 'raking' in 6.6m viewers last wednesday, its seems nothing can stop the Roger Bond season as he continues to dominate the ratings war. Although not as good as the 8.85m viewers Moonraker pulled in on its last UK Terrestrial showing back in 1999, it is clear the season continues to be a success.
With 'For Your Eyes Only' showing, next Wednesday – 24th July and 'Octopussy' showing on – 31st July, the success is set to continue.

German TV station RTL has again published a report about the shooting of Die Another Day.
It's mainly about the new Quartermaster who is played by former Monty Python star John Cleese, who replaces Desmond Llewelyn, who played 'Q' in 17 of 19 James Bond films, and died in December 1999.
It's finally confirmed, Cleese's role name will be 'Q', not 'R' any longer.
The report starts with Q and Bond in Q’s laboratory inside the MI6 headquartes. You can shortly see a clapper board, where’s written; “Bond 20, Scene 160A”. That means that we’ll see Bond and Q in the middle of the film, as it is said in the official press release (-> “Bond will head to North Korea, Hong Kong, Cuba, London and Iceland”).
The report goes on with some footage from The World is not enough. The speaker explains to the audience that Desmond Llewelyn died in a car crash two years ago and that Cleese will replace Llewelyn. Pierce Brosnan appears, explaining that ‘R’ is difficult to pronounce for Irishmen.

After that we see Bond and Q entering the secret subway station of London’s MI6. You can see a short overview about that lab, then you see Bond and Q with the Aston Martin. Bond clicks on a button and machine guns appear.

The report continues with Bond giving a gun to Q. Q fires onto an aim, which is invisble for the audience.

Cleese Interview. The new Q says, “I despise technology!” and well, that’s what he has in common with Desmon Llewelyn..
The rest of the report is footage taken from the official "Making of" video, which was released earlier this year.
You can watch the footage online on the website of German television station RTL. For anyone who doesn't speak German, you see the big headline "TECHNIK-MUFFEL". Click on the image on the left, and you'll be able to see the footage.
Thanks to forum user 'John007' and 'MBE' for the tip-off, please head to this thread in the Die Another Day Forums to discuss the new footage!

The new art work for the NightFire logo is enough to show you how good the game is looking out to be. But if you're not already drooling, if you take a look at some of the new screenshots that have come about on the new Gamespot preview, you'll be sure to start!
The preview goes into the differences between the console versions and the PC version of the game, clearly stating that the PC one is the more unique. The PC version will unfortunately not feature the driving and flying levels – but to make up for the loss, Gearbox has added PC specific levels that make the game longer than any of the console versions. Aswell as this, there is the Online Multiplayer feature which will add lots more excitement to the game (at last, I can settle the dispute of me being the best Bond gamer :D). Hopefully with this, we'll see mod capabilites (as we talked about earlier this year) which will allow the creation of fan based maps and skins – imagine running around in Blofeld's Volcano – one map I'd love to see created by someone!
Each area in NightFire will be more exotic than the next, finally culminating in the most exotic location on Earth: the stratosphere. The final mission in the game takes place aboard a low-gravity space station, which is clearly a tribute to Moonraker.

Electronic Arts announced earlier today that actor Pierce Brosnan is set to 'star' in NightFire. Of course, he won't be seen in quite the same way as he will in Die Another Day. EA reached an agreement with Pierce to use the actor's likeness for the game.
"Pierce Brosnan and Bond have created an unbeatable combination for the franchise over the past few years, so we're excited to have Pierce aboard to help deliver to fans the ultimate Bond experience," says Chip Lange, VP of Electronic Arts marketing. "I am confident that together, Pierce Brosnan, EA and NightFire will make for the most dynamic and appealing Bond game yet."
Neil Haldar, Vice President of Production and Business Development for MGM Interactive, observes, "We welcome this fantastic opportunity to collaborate with Brosnan, who so masterfully personifies James Bond, and to re-team with a great partner like Electronic Arts on Nightfire to deliver the finest integration of creativity and technology to date."
NightFire is scheduled for a simultaneous release on the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, Xbox video game system , Nintendo GameCube and PC-CD. The release of the game will occur world-wide in November, to co-incide with the release of Die Another Day.
