Quantum of Solace Regional Screening – Southampton

James Bond is back and he’s coming to Southampton this autumn… for another dazzling movie event.

Following the success of the Casino Royale charity film screening in 2006 at St. Mary’s Stadium, Sony/EMI have given Saints Event Management and Southampton Football Club another Licence to Thrill this October, as Bond’s latest adventure hits the silver screen.

This time round, the glitzy event will be even bigger than before, with SEM’s new venue, the huge City Cruise Terminal at Dock Gate 10, hosting what looks set to be one of the highlights of the region’s showbiz year.

The official regional charity film screening for the new Bond film (Quantum of Solace) will take place on Thursday 30th October, a day prior to general release in the cinemas, meaning guests will be among the first people in the U.K to see Bond in action.

The latest instalment in the 007 saga sees Daniel Craig resuming the role he made his own in Casino Royale, and is already one of the most eagerly anticipated films of 2008.

Quantum of Solace picks up where the last film left off, with Bond seeking revenge for the death of Vesper Lynd and travelling as far afield as Haiti and Bolivia in the process.

The evening will commence at 6.30pm with a red carpet drinks reception, followed by a 3 course banquet prepared by Saints’ Award Winning chefs, and of course, head coach Jan Poortvliet and members of his first team squad will also be in attendance.

Guests will be in line for some top-class entertainment, from London’s West End, at the lavish City Cruise Terminal, before moving across to the Odeon Cinema at Leisure World for an exclusive screening of the new film.

There will also be the chance to raise money for an extremely worthwhile cause with all proceeds from this year’s event going towards the Hampshire & IOW Air Ambulance service, which relies entirely on voluntary contributions to support it’s costly but vital life-saving missions across the region.

The event is being supported by Norwich Union, Paris Smith & Randall, Cedar and Parkhouse the Jeweller.

Saints Commercial Director John O’Sullivan said, “We are very grateful for the support of the sponsors and the many other organisations who will be making a contribution to this very
    worthwhile and exciting event.”

Tickets are priced at £600 for a table of 10 inc vat or £65.00 per person inc vat
