  1. 'Quantum of Solace' Scores Three Saturn Award Nominations

    Daniel Craig’s second James Bond pic Quantum of Solace has scored three nominations at the 35th Annual Saturn Awards, it was announced today.

    In addition to a nomination for Best Action/Adventure/Thriller Film, Quantum of Solace scored two nods in the Best Supporting Actress category.

    Awards heavyweight The Dark Knight leads the film field and supernatural thriller Lost heads up the television categories with 11 nominations apiece.

    The Saturn Awards acknowledge genre films, television programmes and home entertainment releases.

    The winners will be announced at the June 25 ceremony.

    The 007 films have often been acknowledged at the Saturn Awards. Most notably, Pierce Brosnan took home the Best Actor award for 1997’s Tomorrow Never Dies, while Casino Royale landed the Best Action Film award in 2007.
