Quantum of Solace has been included in seven categories on the just announced BAFTA longlist–reports Variety.

These BAFTA (British Academy Film Awards) longlists include 15 contenders in each category, from which five nominees from each will be chosen in the second round of voting.

The 22nd James Bond film is included in the following categories:

    • Visual Effects
    • Sound
    • Editing
    • Production Design
    • Cinematography
    • Music
    • Best Supporting Actress – Dame Judi Dench

Nominations are expected later this month, with the awards ceremony scheduled for Sunday, 8 February at London’s Royal Opera House.

In 2007, Daniel Craig’s debut 007 film, Casino Royale was featured in 14 categories on that year’s BAFTA longlist. Eventually securing nine nominations, including Best British Film, Royale ultimately came away with two wins: one for Sound and the Rising Star award for Eva Green’s portrayal of Vesper Lynd.
