    The amphibious Lotus Esprit featured in 1977’s The Spy Who Loved Me has sold for £111,500 ($166,000) with fees in London.

    Bloomberg reports that the 1976 James Bond car was sold earlier today as part of Bonhams’ 520-lot sale of collectors’ cars, motorcycles and automobilia at Olympia, west London.

    A collector based in Atlanta, who described himself as ‘a Lotus and James Bond aficionado’ purchased the car. As earlier mentioned on CommanderBond.net, the car was expected to fetch as much as £120,000 at the sale.

    Bonhams sold the car’s sister in 1998 for a hammer price of £34,000, before fees.
