    The amphibious Lotus Esprit featured in 1977’s The Spy Who Loved Me has sold for £111,500 ($166,000) with fees in London.

    Bloomberg reports that the 1976 James Bond car was sold earlier today as part of Bonhams’ 520-lot sale of collectors’ cars, motorcycles and automobilia at Olympia, west London.

    A collector based in Atlanta, who described himself as ‘a Lotus and James Bond aficionado’ purchased the car. As earlier mentioned on, the car was expected to fetch as much as £120,000 at the sale.

    Bonhams sold the car’s sister in 1998 for a hammer price of £34,000, before fees.
