The Centenary month may be behind us, but Ian Fleming Publications continue to roll out the events and publications celebrating the life of James Bond’s creator.
The official Ian Fleming Centenary website diary has been updated to include the forthcoming event, The Story of James Bond: A Tribute to Ian Fleming charity gala.
The gala will be held at the London Palladium on 5 October 2008 and will be in aid of The British Heart Foundation.
More details, including the performances to take place on the night, remain forthcoming.
Additionally, the Queen Anne Press Special Editions – which CBn first reported on back in June – now have a release date. The four tiers of the luxury sets will go on sale on 14 October 2008.
Ranging in price from £14,000 to £2,000 per set, the collections include all of Ian Fleming’s works, including his 14 James Bond novels, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Diamond Smugglers, Thrilling Cities and Talk Of The Devil, a collection of rarely seen material, some unpublished. The title is taken from a list drawn up by Fleming himself.
CommanderBond.net will bring you more details on these Centenary celebrations as they come to hand.
