This past December, first reported that James Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson were included on the Queens New Years Honours 2008 list of those to be Ordinary Officers of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE).

The producers were to each receive an OBE for their services to the film industry.

This is North Scotland reports today that the 007 producers have received the awards.

Broccoli spoke about her father, Albert R. ‘Cubby’ Broccoli, who helmed the Bond series until his death in 1996. She said: ‘He was awarded one 20-plus years ago so it’s very emotional for me, particularly getting one after he got one.’

Speaking about the encouragement she received from her father, she added: ‘I think he led by example, both Michael and I followed his example; he was a great believer in sharing his knowledge.’

Broccoli was in Panama yesterday overseeing production on the latest Bond film with Daniel Craig, Quantum Of Solace.

When asked about the production of the film, she replied: ‘It’s going extremely well and there’s lots of stunt work and lots of action.’
