  1. James Bond Night At The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic In June

    By Devin Zydel on 2007-03-06

The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra will be putting on a show in late June 2007 as a homage to the worlds most famous spy–007.

Taking place at the Philharmonic Hall on Thursday, 28 June 2007, at 7.30pm, the ‘Summer Pops – James Bond Night’ will feature music from several of the Bond films, old and new. Goldfinger‘s Honor Blackman will be making an appearance to act as the narrator as well as share anecdotes with the audience.

    The show details:

Glamour, sexiness, delicious danger all wrapped up in the Phil’s rousing homage to everyone’s favourite spy, James Bond. You’ll be left shaken and stirred by some of the best music from 007 including From Russia with Love, Casino Royale, Diamonds are Forever, Live and Let Die, and Tomorrow Never Dies. The enduringly fabulous Honor Blackman, perhaps the most famous bond girl (aka Pussy Galore in the 1964 Goldfinger) shares anecdotes and reminiscences with wry humour and double entendre naughtiness.

The show will be conducted by Carl Davis CBE with Mary Carewe & Jon Christos appearing as vocalists. Ticket prices are £9, £14, £19, £22, and £28. £5 tickets for children, students and claimants. To purchase tickets or for more details, visit the official website here.
