  1. James Bond Costumes To Be Auctioned In March

    By Devin Zydel on 2007-01-29

The Sun and The Scotsman report that several film outfits will be auctioned off in March, including several dinner jackets from the James Bond films.

Prospective buyers will be allowed to try on Sean Connery’s dinner jacket from Thunderball, Roger Moore’s navy commander jacket from The Spy Who Loved Me and Pierce Brosnan’s Brioni suit from GoldenEye.

Connery’s dinner jacket is expected to receive bids of £40,000+ at the Bonhams event. Tim Angel, chairman of Angels (the company selling these outfits) called it a ‘ridiculous value. It’s because it’s Sean Connery, it’s because it was a dinner jacket and it’s because it was a Bond. I can’t explain it, I don’t set the prices.’

The sale will take place on 6 March.
