    By Devin Zydel on 2006-10-21

American performer Moby has been interviewed about his past and present career on CD Times just in time for the release of his newest album, ‘Go – The Very Best Of Moby.’

For 007 fans, Moby is best remembered for creating one of the most widely known James Bond theme remixes in 1997. It was included as one of the tracks for the Tomorrow Never Dies soundtrack.

‘The truth is I didn’t really want to record a James Bond theme,’ he says. ‘I got asked by the people at MGM/United Artists to record the James Bond theme for Tomorrow Never Dies.’ He goes onto say that had he not been asked, he wouldn’t have ever remixed the theme.

‘[I] feel like the original is perfect, you know, the John Barry original and I think that my version of the James Bond Theme, it’s OK, but it’s certainly not any way nearly as good as the original recording by John Barry.
