    By Devin Zydel on 2006-07-25

For fans of the literary James Bond, 2006 is a packed year with new releases. However, there will be a small delay for one of them. James Bond: The Secret World of 007 by DK Publishing and Alastair Dougall, which has been revised and updated has been pushed from a US release date of 4 September to 2 October 2006.

James Bond: The Secret World of 007 offers readers a chance to look at the films by selecting certain key scenes (such as the volcano set in You Only Live Twice and the San Monique finale in Live And Let Die) and acting some of them out, showing the reader where the characters move. It also provides information on several of the main characters, gadgets and other items. MI6, the women of 007, Ernst Stavro Blofeld of SPECTRE receive a few pages dedicated to each in the book as well.

The original edition covered up to the film The World Is Not Enough, it seems likely that this updated edition would include Die Another Day and perhaps Casino Royale.

James Bond: The Secret World of 007 Second Edition will be released in hardcover edition in the US on 2 October 2006. It can currently be pre-ordered for a discounted price of $15.74. It is currently listed under ‘limited availability’ on amazon.co.uk. Cover art can be viewed on Amazon.com.
