To coincide with the launch of Charlie Higson’s second Young Bond book, Blood Fever and Player One’s first Young Bond mobile phone game, SilverFin, Puffin and Player One present an exciting competition for Young Bond fans.

On 5 January, 2006, Puffin and Player One will host the Young Bond Stunt Academy at Eton College – the school that both James Bond creator Ian Fleming, and Young James himself attended! The Stunt Academy will be attended by 10 lucky Young Bond candidates. Four would-be Bonds have already been selected from regional heats in Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow and the hunt is now on for six more hopefuls to take part on the day.

At Eton, the 10 candidates will have the opportunity to learn the ropes of being a young spy from a professional stunts team.

Sound cool? It gets better. The winner – chosen by the stunts team and Charlie Higson himself – will appear as a character in both the next Young Bond book and the next Player One Young Bond game!

For the chance to be one of the remaining Young Bond candidates, all you have to do is be between the ages of 9 and 16 and write in 50 words or less, why you would like to Be Young Bond for a Day.

The competition will be run through various media outlets including the official Young Bond website, Xchange (Fridays on CBBC), this Friday’s edition of Publishing News and the December issue of Kraze Club magazine, so keep an eye on these for entry details.

Keep watching CBn for all the details on this exciting competition.
