    By David Winter on 2001-02-04

Only five days after being names Britains second best female actress Dame Judi Dench, who has played M (Barbara Mawdsley) in the last three James Bond movies, has again been given another awards nomination as “Best Supporting Actress” for her performance as Amande Voizin in Lasse Hallström’s ‘Chocolat’.

This awards nomination comes from The Screen Actors Guild who will present the seventh annual SAG awards on March the 11th. This awards comes three days after Dench was nominated for “Best Supporting Actress” for the BAFTA Awards.

Along with the nomination for “Best Supporting Actress” Dench has also been nominated in the category of “Outstanding Performance by the Cast of a Theatrical Motion Picture” along with the other main cast from ‘Chocolat’. Competing with the cast of Chocolat are the movies: Billy Elliot, Gladiator and Traffic.

Good luck to Dame Judi with both awards. We’re still waiting upon the nominations for the 73rd Annual Academy Awards on February the 13th to see if Dame Judi is nominated yet again.
