1. Lewis Gilbert Receives Dilys Powell Award

    Director Lewis Gilbert received the Dilys Powell Award this evening in London.

    Gilbert received the award as a part of the 23rd London Film Critics’ Circle Awards, which was held at the Dorchester Hotel in London.

    The Dilys Powell Award was presented to Gilbert for ‘outstanding contribution to cinema’. Gilbert has directed over 40 films in his career, including three Bond films; You Only Live Twice, The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker. Outside of Bond he directed Michael Caine in Alfie, Kate Beckinsale and Sir John Gielgud in Haunted and recently John Hannah in Before You Go.
