James Bond legend Sir Roger Moore today set the digital timer on a golden briefcase containing the first boxset of all 22 Bond 007 films on Blu-ray, which will travel the length of Great Britain from Monday 17th to Monday 24th September.
The catalogue showcasing the props and artwork of Christies 50 Years of Bond Auction has appeared online. The 177 Page brochure has been uploaded to the official site in it’s entirety, giving fans an insight as to what to expect from the auction. SKYFALL producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli have announced that His Royal Highness Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall have graciously agreed to attend the World Premiere of the twenty-third 007 adventure on Tuesday, 23rd October at The Royal Albert Hall. Fittingly and at the request of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales the premiere will benefit the charities that support former and serving members of the three intelligence agencies (the Secret Intelligence Service, the Security Service and GCHQ). His Royal Highness is Royal Patron of the Intelligence Services. The premiere will be attended by the film’s leading actors Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Bérénice Marlohe, Albert Finney and Ben Whishaw, and the director Sam Mendes. The movie will be released in the UK and internationally from 26th October 2012 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Sony Pictures Releasing.
Wilson and Broccoli commented, “We are thrilled His Royal Highness Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall have agreed to attend the World Premiere of our latest James Bond film, and are pleased this event will help raise funds to support The Prince’s chosen charities.”
If you cast your mind back to a week or so ago, two articles appeared on the main page. One concerning the Radio Times James Bond special, and another one announcing Kermode and Mayo’s James Bond special with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, on September 14th. In light of this news, Youtube channel kermodeandmayo have uploaded a behind the scenes video to promote the special, covering from prosthetics to photo shoot as both men are transformed into Blofeld and Bond respectively.
CommanderBond.net can officially confirm that the world premiere for ‘Skyfall’ will take place at the Royal Albert Hall on October 23rd, with The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall in attendance. ‘Skyfall’ will mark the 50th Anniversary of the James Bond film series, and will mark the cinematic return of James Bond for the first time in 4 years.
