‘Quantum of Solace’ Takes Top Spot On Amazon UK Sales Chart

22nd Bond film ranks in top three on both UK and US charts

With Quantum of Solace hitting DVD and Blu-ray this week in both the UK and US, it’s no surprise that the film is topping the sales charts at both Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com.

Currently, the 22nd James Bond film is sitting in the top two positions (DVD and Blu-ray editions) on the UK sales chart.

In the US, Twilight is currently the film to beat following a massively successful Saturday release, while the single-disc DVD and Blu-ray editions of Quantum occupy positions #2 and 3, respectively. The two-disc special edition DVD ranks just outside the top ten.

However, on the Blu-ray-only charts, 007 is #1. Walt Disney’s Bolt sits in second place.

Quantum of Solace is the 22nd James Bond 007 film produced by franchise holders Eon Productions. Daniel Craig returns from 2006′s Casino Royale to play James Bond. Quantum of Solace is directed by Marc Forster and scripted by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and Paul Haggis (with an additional polish by Joshua Zetumer). Locations include Panama, Chile, Italy, Austria and the UK. The MGM/Columbia Pictures production began shooting on 2 January and was released on 31 October 2008 in the UK and 14 November in the United States. The world premiere took place on 29 October in London.

Quantum of Solace co-stars Mathieu Amalric, Olga Kurylenko, Anatole Taubman, Gemma Arterton, Joaquín Cosio, Dame Judi Dench, Jesper Christensen, Giancarlo Giannini, and Jeffrey Wright.
