'Quantum of Solace' TV Specials

Mark you calendars, Bond fans

I thought it wise to start a thread where folk can pitch in when they see or hear that a QUANTUM OF SOLACE TV spot is in the offing. With far too many channels to keep a track of it will no doubt help with keeping a check on the SOLACE coverage.

This is the thread for the BRITISH TV channels. A USA exists out there too.

I am actually really concerned over the lack of TV Spots, we have only had two so far and the movie is less than a month away. They have seemed to have fizzled out.

Yes, but James Bond is one of two names in modern cinema - the other being Indiana Jones - that can sell itself on the name alone, so TV spots aren't really that necessary. People will hear that there's a new James Bond film in the works, and they won't need much more information than that. And while Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull had heaps of TV spots, Quantum of Solace is not the first James Bond film in twenty years, and George Lucas is not the producer of the film.

I've seen the Coke Zero and Gemma Arterton Avon adverts on the telly. I expect some TV Spots will pop up in the next couple of weeks.

I haven't seen the Avon advert advertised, but I cought the last few seconds of the Coca Cola advert on Sunday night.

South Bank Show: James Bond is scheduled for ITV1 on Wednesday 22nd October 2008 at 10.35pm, running time 60 mins.

Movie Special: Quantum of Solace is scheduled for Sky 2 on Sunday 26th October 2008 at 12.30, running time 30 mins.

Daniel will be appearing on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, Friday 24th October on BBCONE. Probably to promote Quantum of Solace.

I'm surprised at this, because he was terrible on it last time(for the golden compass). I know he gets on well with Ross, but he looked uncomfortable with the style of the show. It's obvious he didn't want to be there.

Ross-watchers know he likes to remind his guests (and viewers) he is 6'2".

I wonder if he'll, therefore, have the courage to take the piss out of Dan for having to wear lifts.
