I don't put much stock in this, but Bond 23 news is a bit dry.
WHO WAS that blond stunner who froze forks mid-air at the posh Primola eatery in N.Y.? Oh yes indeed, it was Daniel Craig, 007 himself. The studly Daniel was accompanied by his producer Babara Broccoli. (She is the daughter of Albert "Cubby" Broccoli, who co-produced all the James Bond films until his death in 1996. Barbara took over and now has a "license to film.") Daniel and Barbara talked about the next Bond epic, part of which will be filmed -- for the very first time! -- in New York. Primola itself will have a little cameo. Maybe Daniel just wanted to see if the restaurant could handle those shoulders of his. The Bond film ready for release this year is the oddly titled "Quantum of Solace." After that, James Bond goes bad -- Daniel is in the midst of filming "I, Lucifer." He plays Satan. Hmmmm...going to Hell suddenly doesn't sound so bad! I know people who know Daniel and they say this actor is down-to-earth, funny and friendly.Poor, forgotten Live and Let Die. ![]() ![]() ![]() visit my new blog: popular culture... etc. films, television, books, music, the internet and other stuff. but no sport. |

well it would make sense with going for Bold Fleming titles.
007 in new york is as bold as the Hildebrand Rarity or Quantum of Solace. As for Bond being in New York in 23 i'd be fine with that. |

Don't forget that Bond movies tend not to do too well when it is set in the US. I guess US audiences may not think the US is exotic enough for Bond to be romping around in their own back yard.

I don't mind the next Bond being set in NYC, but please, please, Barbara, no 007 in New York as a title!

Liz Smith is decent source. I'd say we have our first real piece of Bond 23 rumor/news.

I really hope it's true.

You seem to forget GOLDFINGER was set in Kentucky. I know it wasn't filmed there but you know what I mean. Also DAF and LALD were both highly successful. 007 in new york is as bold as the Hildebrand Rarity or Quantum of Solace. I think the later are more bold then 007 in New York, it sounds like some day in the life story which exactly what the short story was. ![]() McCain sucks and Obama blows. Vote at your own risk.

Very interesting indeed. It will be good to see some proper United States action for the first time in a while (not including the Prague/Surrey created "Miami" scene in CASINO ROYALE).

I must say 007 in new york is not a title I actively want however seeing some of the fan art and fan logos of it I can't say I'd be diapointed provided it would be a ONE TIME THING (please no 007 in Danbury Conneticut or 007 in London England) Would i name a fan work or anything i did 007 in New York no but I can't say if the announce that as bond 23's title i'll be pissed off or upset. As for bond being in new new york in the next film i'm fine with it as it seems like a good location for Craig's bond (so long as it's not a remake/readaption of Live and let die) |

Shameless marketing.
Bond 23....they need to finish off Bond 22 still. This New York restaurant are just dining out on the fact that the Bond team ate there, no trust whats so ever. Just because it's Vareity dosen't make it gospel. |

New York is a fine locale for Bond. Hell, being in L.A. myself, I'd love to see an action piece or just a scene of any sort set in Hollywood.
New York would be great though. Too many cool locations to pass up. I'll take Liz Smith with a grain of salt. She's either a "hit or miss" in my book and always has been. I'm not doubting that BB and Dan were seen having a meal, but revealing or hinting their plans....Long shot. Still, would love it to be true. NYC is fun. Had a great time at the BCW in '05. ![]() |
