Sad news indeed.
He was a bit of a TV icon here in Oz. While he played many an American Indian in Hollywood B movies (and Leiter of course), he's best remembered here for playing a character in a long running crime show on TV called Matlock Police. IMDb should change the image they're using for his profile. ![]() |

Yes, if it hadn't been for the obsession of the time of having every hero in mainstream cinematic/television entertainment being American, the role reversal of Pate as Bond and Nelson as Leiter would have been far more logical - and would have worked far better. |
