Daniel Craig's 007 will use a Titanium silver C902 Cyber-shot

http://www.i4u.com/article19452.html

Sony Ericsson announced today a limited edition Titanium silver C902 Cyber-shot phone as used by James Bond in the upcoming Quantum of Solace Bond movie.

Poor James, Sony Ericsson is just giving him an average phone to manage his dangerous missions.
Sony Ericsson could have given Bond at least the Xperia X1 to remotely launch some missiles.

The C902 James Bond phone will be available for a limited period and include a memory card loaded with a host of 007 content.
Users will get the chance to know exactly what it takes to be a secret agent like James Bond with the first level of an exclusive pre-loaded spy-style game. In addition, the full color trailer of the film, behind-the-scenes interviews with the stars and exclusive content such as wallpapers and screen savers will be available on the phone and the memory card.

Sony Ericsson announced the 5MP C902 Cyber-shot phone back in February.
The Cyber-shot C902 features a 5MP camera with a slide-out lens cover, face detection, flash, night shoot mode, and auto focus.
Other features of the Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot C902 include 2 inch QVGA screen, FM Tuner, M2 slot, 160MB internal RAM, media player and Bluetooth. Measurements of the C902 are 108 x 49 x 10.5mm and the weight is 107g.

The C902 Cyber-shot is a UMTS/HSDPA 2100 and EDGE/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900 phone that will be available in selected markets in Titanium Silver in Q4 of 2008.

Ah product placement - gotta love it. I'll be looking forward to the gratuitous shot of Bond using the phone.

I'm sure other models will pop up in the film.

I'm sort of ok with the phones - you notice motorola dominance a lot in shows like 24 and a lot of Hollywood films. What I find more noticeable is the Ford product placement.

I guess there's really no point in getting myself all red faced over this - it is what it is and will remain so.

It's understandable that Sony would want a Sony mobile rather than a Motorola or Nokia.

Phones are fine. Bond would use a phone, so it is right that they should be using a real branded phone for it. I'd rather have that than fake brands - wouldn't want to see Bond specify Duff Vodka in his martinis

It's where they show extreme close-ups (a la Die Another Day panning over the packaging of Bond's shaver) or use totally innapropriate brands that it pisses me off - Bond better not be drinking Coke Zero in QoS, although I guess it is fine if it is in the background (like Heiniken in CR)

He should have used the C905 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWuYQw2kl64

Pierce Brosnan: My favourite Bond.
Daniel Craig is awesome.

Bond: Fields, when is the next flight to London?
Fields: Tomorrow morning
Bond: Well then we have all night!

Product placement is just a necesary evil. It equals money that the production wouldn't have otherwise, and in the case of Quantum of Solace, a lot of the additional budget is going towards bigger and better-looking sets. And given what we've seen from the very few images and the few seconds' of footage from places like the Siena safehouse, the art gallery and the like, it's money well spent; the safehouse and the bottini have got an entire atmosphere to them that I honestly cannot remember ever seeing in a Bond film, and that's just one set! About the last time I can remember there being something even close to that was the monastery at St. Cyril's in For Your Eyes Only. If that's what the money from the product placement is buying, it's money well spent.

They are so boring. If Fleming was writing Bond today he would've given him a Sony Ericsson 'Black Diamond'... only $300,000!

Bond should have a more all-singing all-dancing phone. Like the X-Peria X1. I thought Casino Royale's M600 was a closer fit to the character than this one.

With regards to the obligatory product placement, the faux-GPS shot en route to the Ocean Club sandwiched in between the Ford mondeo ad in Casino Royale was a trifle unneccessary. All other SE product placement was passable in that film I thought.

(Unless there were some glaringly obvious shots I'm forgetting).

In fact, the Ocean Club is so near the seaplane terminal that Bond could have found it without anything more than asking the guy who rented the car
