"...I hope you enjoy the book, and if you don't, don't tell anybody."

What a top chap.

Am truly looking forward to seeing and / or meeting this gentle gentleman at the National Theatre.

Hope you do, good luck. I recently spent three hours in the phone queue for tickets for Sean Connery's stint at the Edbookfest, but no joy!

Still the only Bond I'd want to spend any time with.

And since I'm not likely to, I hope this book will be the next best thing.

What's the day he's going to New York? I'd love to be there, seeing as I live a few hours away. smile.gif

Roger Moore is a very rare breed, never to be extinct. smile.gif

Roger has been so much of a part of my life. When I was a kid, I love watching him as 'The Saint'. He was also the first Bond I'd experienced at the cinema and made me understand what Bond was about. (After seeing the Sean Bond's projected against the gym wall at high school). (not that the gym wall was the problem. biggrin.gif)

Think I may share Roger's love for trying to be carefree and self defecating. (can never get that word right)

Would love to catch up with Roger at some point. As David_M says, "Still the only Bond I'd want to spend any time with".

A true cinematic legend and more importantly a true life hero, gentleman and (on-screen) friend.

Cheers,

Ian

Nobody does it better than Sir Roger. He still has that dry wit.

Cannot wait to read the book.

I can truly say that's the one thing I probably WILL be when I get to be Roger's age.

There's just two words for this amazing man: CLASS ACT! He is just so genuinely sincere and nice. And he has the best sense of humor! He has been such a big part of my life as well, growing up watching him on TV as Brett Sinclair on The Pretenders, as Simon Templar on The Saint and as Ivanhoe on, well, Ivanhoe! He was also the very first Bond I saw on the big screen and although I love every single actor that played 007, he is still my favorite. And lets be honest, can you see any of the others being so down to earth? Most of them take themselves way too serious!
If Sir Roger is going to New York, I'm boarding the first plane in LA.

This is why I love Roger, he comes across as a very nice man. My Grandmother met him back in 1999 when she was in London with her friend Rita, he approached them in a cafe one morning and said "Hello Ladies, I hope you're enjoying your breakfast". I wish I was there.
