How come GoldenEye is ignored by TV stations? I'd say it's one that they actually play quite often. Pretty sure that Spike has had it in their marathons before. ![]() |

Cool, too bad I don't have TV cable. Why not just buy the UE DVD sets or individual releases? They are all very affordable. How come GoldenEye is ignored by TV stations? I'd say it's one that they actually play quite often. Pretty sure that Spike has had it in their marathons before. GE was on just this morning when I woke up. My wife was watching it and I was appalled at the full-screen look and the print really didn't look that great. That with the annoying commercials for Progressive and such led to my leaving the room. My wife said "I thought you'd be happy I was watching this", to which I replied I can't believe she'd watch the film in that condition when she won't watch any of the UEs with me. I am officially a Bond film snob. Besides, I could come on CBn where I can talk Bond. ![]() "You didn't think I'd miss this performance, did you?"

Question. Is this Spike's last run with the James Bond films? Are not exclusive airing rights for all of the films going to USA? I know they are able to air Casino Royale as the won the rights to air this year?
I also see the Bond movies airing on AMC too? Does anyone know what is going on with the airing rights for the Bond films? Thanks! I have Diamonds Are Forever on and am watching it right now. One of my favs. They are using pretty bad prints for these though. Lost of specs and dirt on them. |

They air them in order for the first week, then futz around with them after? Wha? At least they're actually airing On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Actually the marathon was pulled before OHMSS and we got CSI episodes instead. Spike TV has the exclusive TV rights to the all of the Bond films except CR with USA network won but USA does not own the rights to the other bond films. AMC recently played the Brosnan bond films most likely due to a loan from Spike and the reason the versions have dirt on them is because when Spike first purchased the classic bond films in 2002, the Special Edition DVD's were the newest out there and they have not gotten the UE transfers of the films yet, even though AMC played the UE versions of the Brosnan films. |
