Anyone on here planning to go to this? I'd jump at the opportunity if I was in the area!

If all works out I would be arriving in London the day after for the Pinewood event Sunday where, supposedly, attendees are to get a signed copy of his autobio. I'm really hoping that turns out to be true for it would be extremely disappointing if I missed out on an opportunity to get an autographed copy if I arrived a day earlier.

Yup, I am going. Having missed out on the Pinewood event at £squillion, £3.50 seems like a bargain too good to be true.

Tickets to arrive shortly.

So, does one have to bring a copy of the book, or can you buy it at the venue?

I was told you can buy it at the event, and from a promotional aspect I am sure that would make sense and would be an offered opportunity.

But I will probably make sure just before going - it's all about the belt and braces.

I'm going to this! Can't wait, will be very intersting to hear Rog discuss his illustrious career & his work with Unicef.

I'll try to sneak in some Bond dvds... wink.gif

Great stuff- he was very funny as usual. Not quite as deep and quite a bit shorter than the talk at the BFI on Monday night, but a lot of fun nevertheless.

And we got to say hello to him! smile.gif

As ever, Roger was on top form and the queue for his signature on his book (that had sold out at the Theatre), went around the block.

Was wonderful to personally say thank you for his years of entertainment and to wish him the very best of luck for his book tour.

His wife was also by his side during the signing.

I dread to think of the number of signatures he will have given by the time his tour comes to an end. This man must be indefatigable, especially with all the different radio and TV events he is doing during the same days as well.

The best.

Yeah, the book had sold out, and the only place to get another copy was from the shop at the BFI next door. Unfortunately, Roger had already been at them- they're all signed!
So my friend ended up having to get one of them and now has a uniquely double signed book! smile.gif

I walked past Ralph Fiennes on the way in too...

While in the queue for the signing, I did find myself in front of this insufferably self important grey haired little man who would not shut up about why the queue was not moving forward. And when he was asked something or other by a publisher, he responded in a hoity toity fashion that he 'hadn't worked with Roger Moore, because he was a something or other.' A film reviewer I think.

Anyway, he was still there with the great unwashed, queueing for Roger.
