And to think some folks complain about cross-promotions w/ wristwatch brands. Just an interesting tid-bit: In the entire water-logged city of Venice, the location for three James Bond movies, there is only one advertising billboard. It's in the Piazza San Marco, the background of the final scene in FRWL, the place of the gondola stunt in Moonraker and it's where Bond runs past to track down Vesper in CR. Rolex. |

Will we see "Vesper" as a cocktail again? Actually there's only one new drink!

Everything we need to know, except... THE RECIPES! I was thinking the same thing. This may mean that ordering a Vesper will be easier now that Smirnoff will be providing the recipe to bars. ![]() ![]() |

This is good news for me - my 21st is in October and I had every intention of ordering a Vesper to celebrate.

Ahh yes, 3 measures of Gordon's Gin, 1 measure of vodka and 1 measure of Lillet brought to you by Smirnoff ![]() ![]() |

Perhaps they're going to be pre-mixed cocktails, like Smirnoff's Pomegranite Martini. That'd be quite interesting to see on the shelf at a liquor store actually.

I am very pleased of this ongoing alliance between smirnoff and Bond. I believe it is one of the ongoing traditions in the Bond franchise.

Perhaps they're going to be pre-mixed cocktails, like Smirnoff's Pomegranite Martini. Pre-mixed martinis? Oh the humanity! I haven't found the recipe for the Quantum of Solace yet, but Black Martini has been around a while, I think. It's just a Vodka Martini with black vodka. All this is making me rather thirsty though |

I just saw a Smirnoff/QOS TV ad on AMC.
It had the Bond theme playing over CR titles-esque images of silhouettes and an airplane, with glimpses of shots from the QOS trailer showing. A voiceover said something like, "Always shaken, never stirred. Stay in control. A message from Smirnoff, James Bond's vodka." (Not sure about the "Stay in control" part, if I actually heard it or just filled in the blank afterward.) ![]() "One day, and he accepted the fact, he would be brought to his knees by love or by luck. When that happened he knew he too would be branded with the deadly question-mark he recognized so often in others, the promise to pay before you have lost: the acceptance of fallibility." -Casino Royale, by Ian Fleming
