Thanks Qwerty.

Forster comes across as a big Bond fan here. I like the sound of his comments on the early Connery and Ken Adam style of Bond movie; this bodes really well for Quantum of Solace.

I am pleased he still sounds happy enough to chat about the film and is taking the time to inform us about things, even though he must be really busy with the editing process.

Ah, Mr Bond, perhaps you would like to make love to my mistress before I have you killed? Muhhahhh....ha ha ha ha.......

I like everthing the guy says. Figures. I need to watch the trailer again and focus about the visual style more.

Quite right, Sku. Forster never seems to misspeak. His thoughts are pleasing to all manner of fans.

I do hope the character work ('trust', etc...) he talks about is tangible and well-integrated into the film. We've been told up front that QOS is going to be action-packed, and my worry* is that the emotion will be non-existent, or worse yet, it will feel shoehorned in.

"Worry" is actually the wrong word. I’m much more hopeful than not. But the potential to lose a great James Bond Story (as opposed to a great story with James Bond) is still present.

I tend to worry about that too - just like I worry about them taking all that too far. I don't really want my Bond films to be some sort of character study ego trips.

All the worrying thoughts I had about this movie, have just been put to rest! I think the Forster has a great connection with the whole of CBn - He's a Bond fan. And if he's really the Bond fan he has made himself out to be in that article, then he will know what we want!

I'm really not suprised if he hasn't been a lurker here.

Nah, just let it marinate for a bit. You don't want to work yourself up into a lather over a jumble of images that barely last a couple of seconds.

The best way to look at visual style is to wait until the movie's released. Better yet, wait until you catch the flick the second or third time around to really pick it apart.

If this film is as good as I am expecting I would actually like to see Forster do another.

He seems to really get the style and essence of James Bond, and with plenty of dark twist to it. There's nothing worse than a Bond film with a lack of style.

"Impatiently Bond lit a cigarette, pulled his shoulders out of their slouch and slammed the mawkish memories back into their long-closed file. Today he was a grown up, a man with years of dirty, dangerous memories - a spy."

The ONLY thing that puts me off is the run time he's aiming for, as you may already know, hehe. Apart from that, his direction for the movie is great, and the visual style is certainly something to note. It looks brilliant.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the whole lot of them didn't pop in for a read now and again. Lots of good insight and feedback here, in fact they would be fools not too. cool.gif
