Does this mean Klienman got the boot?

I like the visual style of that youtube clip. Hopefully we'll get something equally as interesting for the titles of QOS.

That clip looked pretty cool, an anime/rotoscoping style title sequence would be really different and unique for QoS. I liked the "different" style they adopted for CR.

As much as I liked CR's titles, I've never thought Klineman had the Bond market cornered. Should be interesting at the least, really liked what they did for Stranger Than Fiction.

Man, I feel bad for Danny Kleinman... frown.gif

Still, these fellows may do for QOS what Robert Brownjohn did for FRWL and Goldfinger. wink.gif

Now just relax.. smile.gif it may have been that Kleinman was unavailable to do Quantum of Solace and will return for Bond 23 (I hope that's the case..) I too am interested in seeing what MK12 will come up with for the titles.

Most people I know hate it, I like it personally. Generally it's because there were no girls in the CR sequence, but some have said it just looked crummy. The only friend I can think of that liked it has enjoyed plenty of lucy in the sky with diamonds, so it's plain to see why he liked it.

As for the clip linked on the top post, I don't think that would be at all a good move for a Bond title sequence. That's going into the realms of lame and certainly wouldn't suit what appears to be an even more gritty, hard edged 007 film than Casino Royale.

"Impatiently Bond lit a cigarette, pulled his shoulders out of their slouch and slammed the mawkish memories back into their long-closed file. Today he was a grown up, a man with years of dirty, dangerous memories - a spy."

I don't know how this works, but is it possible Daniel Kleinman (the last crew member I would like to see leave the Bond franchise) is still designing the titles, while this MK12 lot are doing the technical work?

I hope that's exactly what is going on. Kleinman in my opinion has achived excelency with his job in Casino Royale and I would like the same style for QoS (after all, it's CR's sequel).

I'm sure if it was just a case of someone rendering the titles, they would have used Framestore again.

I'm happy at this news. I'll miss Klienman's work, but why not get something new for a change? I only wish they got rid of Arnold as well, why change up everything else but keep him around?

Daniel Craig is a great 007

Agreed, we need a higher calibre of composer now.

Kleinman's gone? Shame. His work was terrific, and I was looking forward to seeing him continue.
