I wonder if they´ll use the same masters as the ones on the UE... So we´ll get Goldeneye in Hi-def with cropping and bad contrast levels... I hope not

My idea is these will be the same, only on Blu-Ray.
The HD versions airing on the HD channels in the US are the exact same transferts (not finalised as in the UK / Europe, but as finalised in the USA 6 months later). If they don't include the mono track on every old release, bullets will fly thought, and if Goldeneye isn't remade without the crop, I'll drive a tank through Lowry offices (with Brosnan at the helm) ![]() "By the time everyone will have seen Quantum Of Solace, this forum is gonna be THE TWILIGHT ZONE.".

Splendid. I hope the GoldenEye DVD is treated with respect this time around. What I want changed for this release: Lighten it up to what it should look like, the UE was made darker. Stop this cropping nonsense. Also, re-instate the proper gold letting, not this burnt in white caps lock rubbish.

Great to have them on Bluray - but only if they deserve the HD format. I doubt I'll be buying any until 1) the deserve it quality wise and 2) They cost around a tenner.

I think Dr No, if same as the released UE, will be a must buy release.
Thunderball can do, if the color pop of the original photography is reinstated (I doubt it). It will still be amazing thought. I'm sure the Broz movies will look OK except for GE (which will probably be the same master, we are stuck with it forever unless EON come to senses, and I think they are too busy with QOS). A tenner ? Not until the 3D version come around ! ![]() "By the time everyone will have seen Quantum Of Solace, this forum is gonna be THE TWILIGHT ZONE.".

It'll take something quite special for me to buy a new set.. Am currently watching the Ultimate Editions and I must say the transfer is stunning. The shiny new Dr. No is miles better then the first time I saw it, on a Betamax video where you could clearly see the quiz show 'Blockbusters' in the background... Recently showed Goldfinger to my father who saw it in the cinema on it's release, he said that the transfer was amazing and made it look like 'A modern film thats been set in the 60's' I imagine this time 2 years we'll all be contemplating the new 'Super-De Duper Editions.'
