Now on the CBn main page...

Available at Wal-Mart stores

I was in Wal-Mart and saw new packaging for the individual remastered DVDs. The boxes sport lenticular covers. Another way of getting completists to buy another copy of the movie. Still no single disc version of OHMSS though.

So, you're saying the covers are different from this design? I also don't know what "lenticular" means.

Yes, the covers are different.
A lenticular picture allows you to see different images when you look at the picture from different angles. A more scientific definition, I do not have.

Remember the Bond Women In Motion trading cards that were out a few years ago? They were lenticular cards.

I have a handful of DVDs with these covers. Batman Begins is one that comes to mind. It had a cardboard slip cover over the DVD with the lenticular image & it was a Best Buy exclusive.

Ineresting! Thanks for the news tip! I kind of figured they would have another release of the DVD's again this year. I was thinking it would be smart for the US market to do 2 disc versions individually. That is they have done 1 disc but not a 2 disc version with the extras. But maybe they won't bother. I'm sure they will do another release though for Quantum.

I'll rebuy the films when they come to Blu Ray. But that could be quite sometime I think.

Basically, a lenticular cover, also known as a holographic cover are the ones where at one angle you see one image that changes at another. I would say the most famous one is the one for Independence Day, which was used on both the VHS and latest DVD release, which features the White House normal at the main angle, then at another shows it exploding.
I've gotten a number of them which I like. As for the Bonds being rereleased with these style of cases, it wouldn't be a surprise, I haven't heard anything though, but Fox/ MGM have done a number of them in the last few months, heck, at the Best Buy where I work we have a huge endcap full of them. Would be kinda cool to see what they're like.

Daniel Craig is Bond! And Bond is better than ever for it!

Was out last night and checked at a nearby Borders, but they all appeared to have the original individual releases.

Will have to keep an eye out for these though.

I stopped in a Wal Mart today and checked these out. I think they've raised the prices on these at $9.99 apiece. I've seen them sell for as low as $5 and I could've sworn they were going for around $7.50 on the Wal Mart discount racks recently.

I actually considered buying a couple due to my insatiable collecting habits, but hesitated. Then again, I'm the nutter who went searching high and low trying to collect all of the Total Film covers recently, so who knows.

Really? Those things were just the UE DVD covers in magazine format...

I've been checking around for these whenever I'm at Borders or B&N or basically anywhere that sells DVDs and I've still yet to see one.
