Love all his comments here. Also when he says "we may bring these elements in" it just proves how much involvement Daniel has in the movies personally.

Well, if he has, he's clearly on the same wavelength as those of us who do want to see Q and Moneypenny brought back into the films at some point.

So, it looks like the people who say these two characters have had their day are going to be disappointed.

I think not having Q and Moneypenny in CR and QoS is a wise choice and breath of fresh air. But I think Craig is actually a fan of the characters and possibly doesn't want to be the only Bond without a Moneypenny or Q scene.

I like his comment that if they do come back, it will be done intelligently. Sounds fine by me.

It does seem that he is involved at a level that is in some ways unprecedented.

But today is the thirteenth...

Could I agree any more with this guy? His attitude to making a Bond film is perfect - the action etc. are important, but equally important is to make them matter by pulling people into the characters and the story. Fantastic.

Q & Moneypenny can return when it makes sense for a story - and as long as they do it intelligently (I take that to mean that they don't just shoe-horn them in for the sake of having them).

He may not be the Bond I imagine in my mind, but he's definitely the right guy for the role at this time!

Am I the only person here who wants to see Q and Moneypenny return unintelligently?

Nope. If liking tradition is "unintelligent" then I'm a moron! tongue.gif

Craig may have the most active involvement in the James Bond franchise of any previous actor. It's almost as if he's a third producer on camera, and that's nothing short of fantastic.

I remember someone, I think Tom Mankewicz said that he felt Broccoli and Saltzman should have brought Connery on as an Associate Producer to ensure Connery's loyality - they would not think of it. Maybe Babs has a different view on the situation than her father. I wonder if we may eventually see Craig get an associate producer credit.
