Ooh, now I have to phone my friend in Britain and convince her to buy The Times on Saturday. What a unique book!

“007 in New York” is a strange story to include over “The Property of a Lady” and “The Living Daylights” and one can only assume it's been done purely because of its brevity. But it's a neat addition given the story had been relegated to Bond obscurity until the 2002 Penguin reissues.

So has anyone picked up a copy today?
I'm curious to know if it's an actual retail copy, the same as you find in stores, or a special edition just for the giveaway. If it's a special, I want! ![]() |

Picked up my copy this morning and it is indeed a special copy. It is branded with The Times logo on the spine and back cover and it also has an advert for Devil May Care on the back cover and the last two pages of the book (along with another page advertising the Young Bond series which I think was already in these versions).
Lets hope the others are the same, as this will make a nice little collectors set. The Times also ran a nice article in its books section today titled 'Between the covers with Bond' which gave a brief synopsis of each of the Fleming books along with peoples experiences of the Bond novels. Picked this up, as I had no copy of Octopussy, though I have read it. It suits me that it has 007 in New York over The Living Daylights seeing as I've never read it, although I would have prefered Property of a Lady. So the others will only be available in WH Smiths?
On an almost completely unrelated note, I also picked up a second hand copy of a Win, Lose or Die/Nobody Lives Forever hardback collection for 50p today! |

Very cool news! Just managed to find a listing on eBay for this book and jumped at it. Hopefully the following books will also end up on there. Wish we got this sort of thing in the US! ![]() |

Just been to my local WHSmith and picked up today's newspaper complete with........... Live and Let Die and not the advertised Casino Royale? Hmmm - lady in the shop said that was the only book delivery today. Anyone else get this problem? Book is like a normal book but has "NOT FOR RESALE" on the back?
