Great article, great photos, great video clip! Best things I've seen in a few weeks. Nice to see some new scenes.
The fact that Mr. White has his leg bandaged and a few bruises on his face... I like what it implies about Bond's approach. Have to keep him alive for strategic reasons, but can give him a few punches for personal ones. And I really like what is said in the interviews about the complexity of these characters and the issues. This could be, like a critic said about Casino Royale, not just a good Bond movie, but a good movie, period. Great find! |

Good picture with Craig in the desert, and with Olga.
I like this quote: QUOTE The opera sequences features 007 in investigative mode, a throwback to Sean Connery's detective-like Bond seen in Dr. No and From Russia With Love. Forster certainly had the classic Bond films in mind when he forged his vision for Quantum of Solace.

This really is shaping up to be my favorite 007 film stylistically. Forster and crew really seem to be capturing a great look for this film. Despite my love for CASINO ROYALE, I do think there was something a bit off, perhaps artificial of the style of that film, especially in the casino; it looks like Forster and company aren't taking the same approach.
This film certainly looks to be shaping up as Craig's FRWL. Much like Connery in DR. NO, Craig was just growing into the part in CASINO ROYALE. Here's where he begins to truly own the role. |
