I'm not sure I get it: does that mean the production pays $10 million for the insurance, or that his damages will be covered up to $10 million?
If it's the former, it's the hell of a lot... But if it's the latter, all in all, I find it rather low. ![]() |

They wouldn't be paying $10 million, I'm sure. If I'm insured for, say, $30,000 at work, I might pay $20 a pay check. And this is a limited policy, good for this one film. I dunno, can any experts tell us how much the $10 million coverage might be costing Eon?
Once again, interestingly, we have another reference to the far greater number of stunts and action sequences. No further reference in many a moon to Craig's controversial remark re this being a 'jokier' film. ![]() ![]() |

I imagine it means Eon will get up to $10 million because they're the production company who will be up
OR It could mean that Daniel will get up to $10 million if his ability to earn a living is curtailed do to an accident on set. It just depends on the insurance contract. |

This is insurance for EON. The payout is $10 million if there is a claim payable under the policy but the premiums would be much lower similar to the insurance you pay on your house or car.

Reminds me of something I vaguely recall about Linda Carter's body being insured for one million dollars when she was playing Wonder Woman on TV. (Hope I'm not dating myself w/ this reference!)

OK, thanks, I get it now! But I am the only one to think $10 million would be rather low in case of a serious accident? I mean, Daniel Craig is an A-list actor, he earns some million a year, so if he happened to get severely injured and had to stop his carreer, he could ask for far more than $10 million, couldn't he?

A $10 million payout seems a bit low since losing Craig would effectly ruin a $250 million movie...

I think we can all agree that Craig is worth far more than 10 million to the franchise.
![]() I hope this has a lot of gratuitous sex and violence.

A little summing up, please:
So the policy is for Eon primarily, not for Dan? ![]() ![]() |

I've just checked up, and I'm insured respectively for $500.000 (for myself, in case of a physical accident), and for $2,3 million (damages done to over people). So I guess that, if these are the figures for a miserable, useless bug like me, then $10 million might well be what EON pays to an insurance company... After all, it's not that much out of a $250 million budget.

A little summing up, please: So the policy is for Eon primarily, not for Dan? It's for EON & anyone else who has decided to invest in the movie. This type of insurance is typically for production delays that could happen because DC got injured or can't make it to the set to film. Since he is doing a lot of his own stunts & this is a high profile film, that is what is driving the comment: "Daniel’s insurance premiums have gone through the roof." ![]() ![]() |
