How about a picture of this rejected artwork? I wonder if a booklet of some kind will accompany the Fleming Unbound exhibit. ![]() |

How about a picture of this rejected artwork? Kind of difficult if it hasn't been unveiled yet. ![]() |

It's not terribly exciting. I can see why it was rejected.
It does explain why there is no artwork for the Sunday Times TLD - all of Fleming's other short stories had artwork - whether they appeared in Cosmopolitan, Playboy, New York Herald Tribune, Today, etc. I don't get the theme though - an arrow would be more appropriate for FYEO. Bond's heart doesn't get broken in TLD, nor does anyone else's. ![]() ![]() |

whether they appeared in Cosmopolitan I wonder what artwork accompanied the “Quantum of Solace” debut. I'd definitely like to track down that magazine. ![]() |

Unfortunately it doesn't show the art very well... Edit: My link doesn't seem to work but you should find it if you search for "cosmo 5/59"... ![]() |

Yeah, I've seen that guy's eBay listing, but was wondering if there was more accompanying art other than the brief snippet he included.

Unfortunately the artwork doesn't have Bond in it. It's more of the main characters and vignettes of her affair in the background.
What is majorly cool however, is that the artwork is by Bob Peak - who would later go on to do TSWLM poster and unused License Revoked campaign. ![]() ![]() |

Who knew he had gotten involved with Bond at this much earlier date? Yeah, I've seen that guy's eBay listing, but was wondering if there was more accompanying art other than the brief snippet he included. Thought maybe you'd want to spend the $200+ for it and then post a scan for us... Oh, I'd like to... ![]() |
