Now on the CBn main page...
I found this linked to a post on the Film Score Monthly message board. Tim Lucas' Video Watchblog reports on a previously unheard theme for NSNA written by Stephen Forsythe & Jim Ryan and performed by Phyllis Hyman. Full story and link to the song can be found here... Video Watchblog ![]() ![]() |

I prefer the song they ended up using, which I've never had a problem with. Never had a problem with the film, either.

Nice find Saint. I always took this to be part of Bond music lore/legend.
A little slow, but the lyrics work and the sound was about right for the early 80's. I could see it done behind some classic Maurice Binder credits. Very cool. ![]() |

Bland, but a little nice.
With a bit of a stretch, I almost can see this as one of the lesser Eon themes. ![]() |

I would have prefered this version instead of the Legrand's original, cause I have never been... comfortable with that one. Ok, it not really "Bond-ish" either but it's the better one.

The song was alright: I even recognized in the song the little motif Legrand had in his score.

Great find, Saint!
I have a feeling I'd have to listen to this one several times to become content with it. It's not necessarily bad, but a tad too generic. ![]() |

Bland, but a little nice. With a bit of a stretch, I almost can see this as one of the lesser Eon themes. Bland? I should say so! Sounds, frankly, like the sort of song played at dances for very, very old people. But with the right production.... yeah, maybe a lesser Eon theme. (Great.) Still, cheers to TheSaint for bringing it to our attention. Just the kind of ultra-rare trivia CBn excels at. |

The original version is soo much better than this ! I always found the song to be very sexy the problem was Legrands score was completely different to title song. But the jazz version of it is nice and I wish someone had it(the scene where Domino jumps into the pools and does a flip at the end).

Didn't the Bee-Gees have a song titled Never Say Never Again?

QUOTE Didn't the Bee-Gees have a song titled Never Say Never Again? Yes (on the Odessa album) but It was released in 1969 so...I guess there are no connections between them |

It's a pretty bland song -- IMO, the one they used had more punch; if not more Barry class and influence.

I prefer this one to the original.
Very appropriate, with Binder's images. Very similar to the bond songs of Moore's era. I really enjoy it. I think Legrand's original score wasn't appropriate to a Bond film, the same with theme's song of Lani Hall. This one could had be |
