There's a piece on the BBC News Website with their security correspondent touring Goldeneye and other Jamaica Bond locations, plus talking to Charlie Higson about Bond's appeal:

Interesting - cheers.

Although Charlie didn't answer the second part of the very last question which was why the books remain popular to this day. Answer I am sure which should have encompassed the ongoing film production and 'roots in Fleming' that the producers maintain they maintain.
