I've got a question, or rather an observation about 'Diamonds Are Forever'.
Did u guys notice that when Tiffany Case & Bond pull into the gas station in front of Dr. Metz (the scientist working at the Nevada lab), Bond then slips into the back of Metz's van? How could this happen? There's a dude in a car right behind Metz's van who is yelling at Case to move her vehicle. He's looking DIRECTLY forward, and would have, most certainly, seen Bond get in Metz's van! Little - probably meaningless - bit of Bond observation...... |

I noticed that too. DAF wasn't one of the most realistic Bonds. They made it that way because the producers felt the seriousness of OHMSS kept the crowds away...

I chalk it up to the same method he used to escape the train when he was in the gorilla suit and how he put on full clown makeup in a matter of minutes in OP. He's Bond, he can do things like that.

How many people would point something like that out to another person though? "Hey man, some dude in a suit just got in the back of your van. OH, HEY!! WOMAN, GETCHER CAR OUTTA THE WAY!!!" And how does the driver behind the van know that Bond wasn't supposed to be there? Admittedly Bond is sort of hutched down and creeping in, but at the time said man was busy screaming at Tiffany Case. So.... ![]() ![]() “Is it a delicious dessert you live in?” - Me, because I’m funny. |

DAF = Worst Connery film....one of the worst in the series, after DAD that is I have a soft spot for DAF. Sure, it is not as good as Connery's previous 5, but it has a distinct comic book, Saturday afternoon feel to it. The Ken Adam sets are fantastic as well. I can put it in anytime and enjoy it immensely. ![]() |

I thought the movie had a very dreary look to it in general. It is definitely not one of my favorites. It's interesting you say that, because appartenly one goal of DAF was to have a less serious more "FUN" Bond than OHMSS. True, OHMSS has a very tragic ending and serious elements, but overall, I find the locations and look of OHMSS to be more uplifting than the very dreary look of DAF (in other words, I find DAF to be a visual downer at times). To me DAF has an almost Canonball Run, typical 70's flic look. At times it looks low budget. ![]() DADDY BOND? 'CAUSE I'VE GOT LOTS OF KIDS. . .005 OF THEM!

Interesting question. But the lapse in logic is no worse for me than anything that has to do with Misters Kidd and Wint. The burial of Bond in that pipeline is, for me, pretty close to being the nadir of the series. I'm surprised the two looney assassins didn't bury Bond with an espresso machine. Finish the job, dudes, then bury the Bond.
