Nice quote. I am looking forward to seeing these bruising encounters that Craig finds himself in. The action aspect of the film will impress I am sure.

It somehow strikes as a typical laid back, cool Craig quote. tongue.gif

Sounds like a complete departure from the (lack of) physicality of the second half of the Moore era Bonds.

Now, after reading this article, I can safely say that all my worries about Quantum of Solace have been washed away. I think were in for a really good film, Craig clearly cares what happens to the character, so I dont think he'll let the action scenes [censored] it up. smile.gif

Another quote that is making me even more excited for the film. thumbup.gif

The fight scenes in this film sound like they will be among the best ones in the series.

I can only gauge it by how much pain Im in, and I think were doing pretty good, he said. Theyve [the stunts] started to hurt.

This merely implies that the film will be good because it has lots and lots of action. Not a good thing for me. Atleast the action will be good action I suppose.

The interesting question for me is: Will QOS in cotrast to CR be more like Connerys FRWL to his DN, Moores TMWTGG to his LALD, Daltons LTK to his TLD or Brosnans TND to his GE?

I think we are headed TND territory, let's pray I'm wrong, TND was bogged down by obligatory Moneypenny and Q scenes and a lame vilain, good on paper, bad on screen.

I will reserve my full judgement until I see a trailer of some kind. I have faith in Craig and the Bond team, however, after the great work in Casino Royale, so I'm sure it wont be a total butcher job.

Yep! No sense passing judgment too early. Look at all the people who bashed Craig and CR before the film was even made! I guess some people just love the taste of crow, with a slice of humble pie for dessert.

I think it will be a decent (I only say decent because of all the action it sounds like it will have, will certainly hinder my enjoyment of the film) flick and I don't think for a minute it will at all stray into TND territory except in the way of an unnecessary abundance of action like all of the Brosnan flicks had. We have a great writer and director on board. They say it is dark and doesn't follow the traditional Bond formula. In general, Haggis writes good dialogue and Forster is more than capable of deriving good performances from the actors. He has a wonderful attention to detail and should also shoot interesting little snippets of the local culture which will give the film, well, culture and colour like we had with DN and FRWL and the Fleming books. This is one of the ingredients of the Bond world. Terence Young is the best director the series has had and I think Forster will follow well in his footsteps. It's just a real shame that the whole film, based on what we've heard, will be heavily shadowed by too much action. Or atleast that is what it sounds like.

The Assignment, a great thriller, action, drama, struck the perfect balance of everything for a movie of this genre. The Bond people should use this film as a template for all Bond films in terms of the amount of action, dialogue and character movement they should have, except with the necessary Bond glamour that must be present. I recommend this film. It is fantastic and it stars three wonderful actors - Aidan Quinn, Ben Kingsley and Donald Sutherland.

'The very words I live by'. (What film did that one come from?) The only cautionary note I'd add is this: no one here is seriously expecting a 'total butcher job', but the best stunts and fights in the world can be halfway ruined, at least, by not quite first-rate directing, shooting, editing. Let's hope like hell for the best and sit tight.

I must say that Daniel Craig is the only man to play Bong that I generally cares about the kind of product he's giving the public. I don't think he'd make a film he didn't think was up to par. Brosnan cared about the role a lot, but at the end of the day he was still singing the praises of the films he was in even though I'm pretty confident he had his doubts about the material he was given.

With all we know about the film, I can't say whether or not it will be good. But I am amused by all the people who join the "I am a fan of QUANTUM OF SOLACE"-type groups on sites like Facebook and MySpace without having even seen the damn film!
