Probably enough in there to warrant it going into the spoiler section. Thanks to Premiere for the link. ![]() ![]() "There was a violent cruelty, a pathological desire to wound, quite near the surface in the man." Fascinating article - but the part that caught my attention was on page two where Amalric mentions that "Every day is a sort of work in progress sprirt on this set. There's a new writer that has arrived. We have new lines and it's changed."
There's a new writer? And what's changed? This is the first I have read of a new writer - or did I miss something? This post has been edited by Ace Roberts: 18 March 2008 - 12:16 |

First thing I've heard of the "new writer on set" as well. I'm interested. I hope there aren't many folks who panic about that, because it's obviously nothing to panic about at all. Amalric, Craig, Forster, and Wilson all sound very enthused, and I'm enthused right along with them.
I really liked the part about Greene showing off a corpse to Camille to make a point about betraying him. Dark stuff. We're in for a good film. ![]() |

Maybe already said, but I think it's clear now where Mr. Greene got his name from.
I wonder if it's meant to be just a great coincidence in the story or if they'll write it in that he changed his name at one point to conjure up such eco-friendly imagery. ![]() ![]() |

What ? Last time I said that, people said I looked too much into it...
My money's on an "emerald" also being a major plot point in the story... ![]() "Have one more word, and I'll have you killed !"

Well, I think this answers the question about www.greenplanet.com.
I think a little viral marketing is in place... |

I was more thinking that the emerald is needed to switch on a laser that will trigger a satellite that will launch a nuke that will erase London from the map or something... You know, DAD like stuff, which this movie seems to be heading towards, but the Thunderball cheering way

Well, I think this answers the question about www.greenplanet.com. I think a little viral marketing is in place... Actually, I would have to disagree. The domain was first registered back in 2003. That would be a lot of forethought for EON to register a domain back then for a movie yet to come. ![]() "Who the hell do they think they are? I report to the Prime Minister and even he's smart enough not to ask me what we do. Have you ever seen such a bunch of self-righteous, azz-covering prigs? They don't care what we do; they care what we get photographed doing. And how the hell could Bond be so stupid? I give him double-O status and he celebrates by shooting up an embassy. Is the man deranged? And where the hell is he? In the old days if an agent did something that embarrassing he'd have a good sense to defect. Christ, I miss the Cold War." - M

New writer, eh? Hmmm, this is really interesting.
I always got the feeling that Sony rather rushed/pushed Bond 22 to meet its start date, despite the threat of the writer's strike. A script was turned in right at the deadline, and it probably was decent enough to go ahead and start filming with, especially if they writer's strike didn't last way too long. I wonder who this other writer is. |

"I didn't act in Marie Antoinette," he says excitedly. "I just spent twenty seconds. You know why I went there? Nobody wanted to do it because every French actor would say: 'Oh, that's too small.' I didn't care! I just wanted to be with all those girls, with those great costumes, with all those tits, you know. All those breasts!."

"He goes on to explain that while ‘improvisation is a big word’, Forster pushes for character development as opposed to sticking exactly to the script. ‘There’s no storyboard or things like that. So things can change [during] rehearsals or we bring things.’"
Forster is indeed the right man for the job. It's good to encourage suggestions from the actors. They can come up with different dialogue that suits their acting style which can be more effective. As long as it is good dialogue that is. I know Rush did this in CR. It would be so fantastic if Forster directed more Bond films but I certainly won't be getting my hopes up on that one.
